POStOP Knee BRace

Wrap and fasten the foam wraps around the leg using the sidebar as a gauge for positioning.

Position and press into place the side bars. Reposition the wraps if necessary to align with the straps. The hinges
should be placed slightly above the middle of the knee cap and toward the back of the knee on the sides.
For illustration purposes the straps are not shown in step 2. Do not remove the straps for application.

Secure and fasten the straps closest to the knee first, then the remaining straps.

To remove the brace, simply unfasten the straps and open the foam
pads. The brace can then be removed and reapplied as a single unit.
tiPS On uSe and caRe Of yOuR POSt-OP Knee BRace:
• Close the foam wraps in the front to allow easy removal of the brace later.
• The foam wraps may be trimmed with scissors as needed.
• The side bars may be bent as illustrated in Figure 1 to accommodate individual legs.
Bend in equal amounts above and below the hinge and on each side.
• Wash foam wraps and straps by hand only and air dry. Extra wraps are available
from BREG.
• To tighten straps securely it is easiest to use two hands—one to pull the end after it passes
through the ring and the other to push the strap on the leg toward the ring.

To adjust the hinge, simply pull the stop out
of its slot and move it to the appropriate slot
that corresponds to the degree of flexion
or extension desired. The slot identified as
"LOCK" is used for locking the brace in full
extension.

Schaumstoffwickel um das Bein wickeln und befestigen. Mit Hilfe der Seitenstangen Position genau bestimmen.

Seitenstangen in die richtige Position bringen und befestigen. Wickel ggf. neu positionieren, um sie den Gurten
anzupassen. Die Gelenke sollten an den Seiten, leicht oberhalb der Kniescheibenmitte und nach hinten gerichtet,
positioniert werden. Zu Darstellungszwecken werden die Gurte in Abbildung 2 nicht gezeigt. Gurte zur Anwendung
nicht entfernen.

tiPS zuR veRwendung und Pflege iHReR POStOPeRativen KnieScHiene:
• Schaumstoffwickel vorne schließen, so daß die Schiene später mühelos entfernt
werden kann.
• Die Schaumstoffwickel können ggf. mit einer Schere zugeschnitten werden.
• Die Seitenstangen können, wie in Abbildung 1 dargestellt, gebogen und dem Bein
angepaßt werden. Gleichmäßig über und unter dem Gelenk sowie auf jeder Seite biegen.
• Schaumstoffwickel und Gurte nur mit der Hand waschen und an der Luft trocknen.
Zusätzliche Schaumstoffwickel sind von BREG erhältlich.
• Zum Festziehen der Gurte beide Hände verwenden—zuerst Gurt durch den Ring stecken,
dann mit der einen Hand am Ende des Gurts ziehen, und mit der anderen Hand den Gurt
(Figure 1)
am Bein zum Ring hin schieben.

Zum Einstellen des Gelenks einfach Stoppstift
aus der Kerbe ziehen und in diejenige Kerbe
einfügen, die der gewünschten Flexion oder
Extension entspricht. Die Kerbe, die mit "LOCK"
bezeichnet ist, wird verwendet, um das Gelenk
in vollkommen ausgestrecktem Zustand zu
arretieren.

Avvolgere e fissare le imbottiture di gomma piuma attorno alla gamba usando la barra laterale come guida per il
posizionamento.

Posizionare e premere in posizione le barre laterali. Se necessario, posizionare di nuovo le imbottiture per
allinearle con i cinturini. Le cerniere vanno collocate un poco al di sopra della parte mediana della rotula e verso
la parte posteriore del ginocchio ai lati. A scopo illustrativo i cinturini non sono mostrati nella fase 2. Non rimuovere i
cinturini per l'applicazione.

Stringere e fissare anzitutto i cinturini più vicini al ginocchio, e poi quelli rimanenti.

Un SUPPORTO POST-OP DEL GINOCCHIO bene applicato.

Per rimuovere il supporto, basta slacciare i cinturini ed aprire le
imbottiture. Il supporto allora può essere rimosso e riapplicato come
pezzo singolo.

• Chiudere le imbottiture davanti per facilitare la rimozione del supporto più tardi.
• Le imbottiture possono essere tagliate con le forbici a seconda della necessità.
• Le barre laterali possono essere piegate, come illustrato nella Figura 1 per adattarsi alle
gambe individualmente. Piegare in misura uguale al di sopra, al di sotto e su ogni lato
della cerniera.
• Lavare a mano le imbottiture e i cinturini e lasciarli asciugare all'aria. Presso la BREG sono
disponibili altre imbottiture.
• Per stringere bene i cinturini, è necessario usare entrambe le mani, una per tirare
l'estremità dopo averla fatta passare attraverso l'anello e l'altra per spingere il cinturino
sulla gamba verso l'anello.

Per regolare la cerniera, basta tirare fuori
il fermo dalla sua fessura e spostarlo alla
fessura che corrisponde al grado di flessione
o di estensione desiderato. La fessura
identifica como "LOCK" è usata per fissare il
supporto in piena estensione.
