Operations & Parts Manual
Only use sockets designed for impact tools. Using hand tool
sockets can be hazardous and may result in personal injury.
Always check accessories for wear, cracks and other defects
before use
.
3/8" Ratchet Wrench
This Husky Ratchet wrench is equipped with a lever throttle
which allows the operator to vary the speed. Direction control is
located on the back of the ratchet head. Initial loosening and
final tightening of fasteners should be done manually with
ratchet used as a hand tool. Place the socket over the subject
nut and depress the trigger to operate the wrench. Nuts may
then be run on and off with relative case.
Power is regulated by turning the reverse button (32) to forward
(F) or reverse (R) direction.
Keep sockets firmly against work surface when running tool to
avoid jarring the sockets from the anvil or rounding the fastener
heads. Excessive torque leverage above tool specifications will
result in premature gear wear.
The Design of this tool requires that extra area must be taken
when using the ratchet in tight areas. Hands and fingers should
not be held between tool and work surface. Personal injury
may result.
Die Grinder
Grinder is primarily designed for use with bonded abrasive
pointed grinding stones. It may also be used with steel rotary
files and carbide burrs, provided their speed rating matches or
exceeds the speed of the grinder.
This tool should not be fitted cut-off wheels, saw blades, drill
bits, etc. If there is any doubt about the correct use of this
product contact your supplier for advice.
Also, make sure that the size of the attachment to be driven
matches the collet size fitted to the grinder and that maximum
allowed running speed of the attachment exceeds that marked
on the grinder.
Disconnect the tool from the air supply before lubricating or
changing grinding abrasive.
To change grinding stones :
Loosen the collet nut (See parts list) using two wrenches. Insert
grinding stone into collet and tighten collet nut.
Note: The grinding stone's
shank should be within 1/4
sizes from collet nut to prevent
vibration.
"
Use accessories rated for 22,000 RPM or more. Don't
use the grinding wheel over 1" diameter
Select the required grinding stone NOTE: The tool is equipped
with a 1/4
collet and uses grinding stones with a 1/4
"
size. To use grinding stones with 1/8
be replaced with a 1/8
collet (not supplied)
"
This Husky Die Grinder is fitted with speed regulator, the speed
will cycle from maximum to minimum if the regulator is rotated
in either direction. Factory assembly ensures the highest speed
setting.
The speed may be reduced by rotating air regulator (15) with a
suitable screwdriver. When making speed checks, always
rotate the air regulator to the position that gives the highest
maximum speed & fixed by valve plug.
Always make sure that tool accessories meet or
exceed the tools recommended output.
The speed regulator is a tool feature but it is not
recommended to adjust. It is not a control device for
adjusting speed during operation. Failure to comply with
this instruction would increase the damage to die grinder.
Maintenance
Air Tools Lubrication
An automatic in-line filter-regulator-lubricator is recommended
as it increases tool life and keeps the tool in sustained
operation. The in-line lubricator should be regularly checked
and filled with air tool oil. Proper adjustment of the in-line
lubricator is performed by placing a sheet of paper next to the
exhaust ports and holding the throttle open approximately 30
seconds. The lubricator is properly set when a light stain of oil
collects on the paper. Excessive amounts of oil should be
avoided.
In the event that it becomes necessary to store the tool for an
extended period of time (overnight, weekend, etc.), it should
receive a generous amount of lubrication at that time. The tool
should be run for approximately 30 seconds to ensure oil has
been evenly distributed throughout the tool. The tool should be
stored in a clean and dry environment.
Recommended lubricants: Use Husky air tool oil or any other
high grade turbine oil containing moisture absorbents, rust
inhibitors, metal wetting agents and an EP (extreme pressure)
additive.
