4.3 Controller
In order to design this user manual as structured as possible, only one side of the controller is described.
Frontpanel:
1. SECTION UNIT 1
The left part of the controller is designed for controlling the player on the left side of the CD-Player.
2. SECTION UNIT 2
The right part of the controller is designed for controlling the player on the right side of the CD-Player.
3. OPEN/CLOSE-BUTTONS
Press this button to open the respective CD tray. Press the button a second time and the tray will close
again.
CAUTION: Do not close the tray by pushing it as this could harm the construction.
4. DISPLAY
When the device is on and the tray has no disc, "NO DISC" appears on the display.
If the CD is improperly positioned,"ERR" or "NO DISC" appears on the display.
If the CD is properly positioned, the total number of tracks and the total playback time are shortly displayed.
The player jumps to the first track and is ready for use. Please note that the player automatically jumps to the
section where the music starts. The music start is displayed.
Above "TRACK" the track number is displayed. Above M (MIN), S (SEC) and F (FRAME) the track playback
time is displayed.
By using the Time-button, the display can be switched from track playback time (Elapsed) to total remain
time (Total Remain) to track remain time (Remain).
5. PLAY/PAUSE-BUTTON
After introducing a CD in the tray and closing the tray, playback can be started by pressing the Play/Pause
button. Press PAUSE in order to stop and to save the position where you stopped. "||" is displayed.
6. SKIP-BUTTONS
In order to select the desired song press this button until the desired track number is displayed. The player
will start the song from the beginning.
Press ther right Skip-button once to start playing the next song, press it twice for the following song, etc.
Press the left Skip-button once to start playing the current song again, press it twice for playing the last song,
etc.
7. SEARCH/SCAN-BUTTONS
Pause-mode:
To cue and reverse at a very low speed. You can exactly select the starting-point or cue-point. The selected
frame is repeated until you press the Play-button.
Playback-mode:
Use the Search/Scan-buttons in order to cue and reverse at a very high speed.
8. LOOP-BUTTON
If the loop-button is pressed in the playback-mode, the CD keeps running and the A-point (starting-point) is
marked. If the Loop-button is pressed once more, the B-point (end-point) of the sequence is marked. The
player repeats the sequence between A-point and B-point until you press the Loop-button once more.
