Connect the pressure diffuser to the pressure reducer (1.7) of the
CO
bottle via the attachment nozzle (1.3), using a CO
proof hose

(1.5). Normal hoses are not suitable or at least lead to a considerable
loss of CO
. Be sure to install a non-return valve (1.6) into the hose

as to ensure no water can get into the connected CO
bottle and

the pressure reducer. Now push the hose connected to the attach-
ment nozzle (1.3) of the pressure diffuser into the holder device (1.4)
of the pressure diffuser. This efficiently avoids hose bends. Then un-
screw the transparent ring (2.3) from the diffuser and take out the
ceramic disc (2.2). The diffuser fills with water upon submerging the
unit in the aquarium. Insert the ceramic disc with its rubber seal (2.2)
back in place under water and fasten the acrylic screw ring (2.3).
Make sure the rubber seal is correctly positioned while doing so.
Now the diffuser is filled with water and ready to use. Attach the
unit in approximately 20 – 40 cm (7.8 – 15.7 in.) depth in a place where
