2. Install the Vacuum Breaker and Valve (For K-10970)
Install the vacuum breaker as follows:
NOTE: Insert the components in the order specified.
Place the vacuum breaker into the vacuum breaker tube.
Place the fiber washer on the vacuum breaker.
Slide the nut over the bottom of the tube and assemble to the
urinal valve using a strap wrench.
Remove the plastic piece inside the inlet arm that holds the nut
secure. Discard the plastic piece.
Slide the spud coupling nut, fiber washer, and escutcheon over
the end of the vacuum breaker tube.
Assemble the urinal valve to the control stop by hand tightening
the inlet arm nut. Align the vacuum breaker tube end with the
urinal's spud.
Hand-tighten the spud nut to the urinal spud making sure that
the fiber washer is inside the spud nut.
Plumb and tighten the valve to the control stop, and the spud
coupling nut to the urinal spud using a strap wrench.
Slide the spud coupling escutcheon over the urinal spud.
Remove the tape covering the sensor eyes.
Turn on the water supply.
