How it works
Turning on
1 Press the „ON" button or turn the dial in any direc-
tion.
2 The standard display appears in mm units.
NOTE
If no key is pressed or no changes made to
the display for the duration of one minute,
the digital display turns off automatically
(power save function).
Determining the mode and function
This tool features a variety of display functions which
can be selected using the „MODE" button. These en-
able the operator to set the tool as desired in millime-
tres, inches or – using the selector – from F1 to F8 in
accordance with MIL 22520.
Use the plug gauge (which is supplied with the tool) to
briefly press the „MODE" button. Then select the de-
sired display in the order shown below.

Handling and operating the crimping tool
Setting the crimp parameters
1 The crimping die settings and locator settings for
the connector which you are crimping can be found
in the crimp contact manufacturer's specifications.
2 The settings for the crimping dimensions, crimping
depth and crimping die can be accessed by turning
the dial (digital display).
The crimping size must always be set starting from
a larger value (for example, from 1.8 mm to 1.5 mm
crimping size).
3 Turn dial clockwise = decrease crimping size,
turn dial counter-clockwise = increase crimping
size)
4 Adjusting the crimping size using the screw.
5 Move the locator into the position shown in the table
by laterally lifting and turning it.
