Preliminary check

Before using the FALL SAFE® "S-Line Vertix" guided type fall arrester including a rigid anchor
line, please note the following checks:

The user of the guided type fall arrester including a rigid anchor line must be in good
physical condition, and not prone vertigo or giddiness.

The user must have received appropriate training to:

Use the fall protection equipment;

Working with the FALL SAFE® S-Line Vertix;

Use of the rescue equipment in the event of fall.

A rescue plan must be in place to evacuate the person who fell within 15 minutes. The
rescue material must be easily accessible and be located in the vicinity from the guided
type fall arrester including a rigid anchor line.

FALL SAFE® S-Line Vertix was certified for 1 people in use, not allowing more than 1
people on the cable at the same time.

Each user must be equipped with :

A suitable harness with two anchoring points, one at the back and one at the
chest , in conformity with the EN 361 standard;

The chest anchor point is the preferred point for anchoring the harness, the
dorsal anchoring point being used for rescue operations.

On arrival in the work area, or whenever the user attaches to the cable, he is required to
check:

That the manufacturer's label is in place, and that it mentions the maximum
number of users who can connect to the lifeline simultaneously;

That the glider, the harness and the lanyard are in good, working condition;

That there is no obstruction under the walk way that could reduce the clearance
specified on the manufacturer's label

The system must be immediately put out of service if the user notes one or
more anomalies to the points indicated above.
Before each use, verify that:

The guided type fall arrester including a rigid anchor line is intact and in
adequate conditions;

There are no lacerations of the seams in the initial area of the absorber due to
the arrest of a fall;

The protective absorber sheath is present and in a condition as to allow the
inspection of the webbing below;

The shackle inserted into the hole of the locking cam can rotate without any
external impediments;

The mobile body of the one-way system can move freely;
