AVIATION BR 03-97
For professionals who require total reliability, Bell & Ross has desi-
gned an automatic watch equipped with an indicator to show the
mechanism's energy reserve.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Self-winding mechanical
. 28,800 vibrations/hour. Power reserve:
movement
approximately 40 hours. High precision adjustment in 4 positions (tolerance of
0/+10 seconds a day).
: hours, minutes and seconds (all central hands).
Functions
Date with quick correction. Hour setting with seconds stopped. Power reserve
indicator.
Case
: diameter 42 mm. Anti-reflective treated sapphire glass.
proof
to 100 m (325 ft).
GENERAL USE
In service
. When the watch has stopped (crown in position 0): wind the mecha-
nism by turning the crown clockwise. After approximately 40 rotations, the watch
is completely wound (the mechanism does not have a stopper to avoid too much
pressure on the winder). The power reserve is then approximately 40 hours. When
the watch is worn , it is the automatism which winds the movement.
Quick setting * (crown in position 1): pull the crown to position 1 and adjust the
date by turning the crown clockwise or opposite direction. Slow setting : (crown
in position 2): in order to ensure a date change at midnight and not at midday, it
is advisable to carry out the date setting with the help of the hour hands. Pull the
crown to position 2 and turn the hands until the date has changed. Then adjust the
hour accurately.
Hour setting
. Pull the crown to position 2. The second hand has
thus stopped which enables an adjustment with accuracy to within one second.
Adjust the hour by turning the crown in the desired direction.
DISASSEMBLY OF THE STRAP
Your watch's case is made up of 2 main sets:
Set 1: the main body of the case and the crown (H)
Set 2: the "lid" of the case and the sapphire crystal

IMPORTANT
*
Quick date setting
. As for all mechanical watches equipped with a calendar, the
quick date setting (crown in position 1) MUST UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES be car-
ried out between 9 P .M. and 3 A.M. Once the adjustment is completed, return the
crown to position 0 in order to insure perfect water resistance. The crown must
never be handled under water.
MAINTENANCE
It is advisable to rinse the watch and its strap carefully with fresh water after
contact with sea water. It is also recommended that the water resistance of your
watch is serviced every two years. In order to guarantee a service that conforms
to the brand's requirements, any intervention on your watch must be carried out
by one Bell  &  Ross repair center or a watch maker authorised by Bell  &  Ross.
When a repair is carried out during the guarantee period, you must present the
Bell & Ross guarantee card, duly dated and signed by the retailer at the time the
watch was purchased.
