6.2.
"COMBY" FOUNTAIN.
The "Comby" fountain enables having different playing, such as the spray, the bell or both by simply acting on the movable parts
of the system, the mushroom (1.4) and the tap (1.3).
In order to obtain the playing with the bell effect, close the tap (1.3) and unfasten the mushroom (1.4) Fig. 3.
In order to obtain the playing with the spray effect, screw the mushroom until the end (1.4) without forcing it too much and open
the tap (1.3) Fig. 4.
In order to obtain the combined bell-spray playing, unscrew the mushroom (1.4) and open the tap (1.3).
6.3.
BASIC VERSION FOUNTAIN.
The basic version foresees two distinct playing: the bell and the spray. In order to vary the diameter of the bell playing simply
unscrew the central part.
Turning the knob on the tap (4) enables varying the height of the playing of the water on any version.
Connecting a tube to the supplementary outlet on the tap (4) enables conveying the water towards a waterfall, a filter or a UV-C
light, Fig. 7, Fig. 8, Fig. 9.
Attention: the height of the waterfall compared to the water level must be inferior to the maximum head of the pump.
6.4.
USING THE FK WITH POND SKIMMER.
The FK can be connected to a pre-filter, such as the "Pond Skimmer" Fig. 10 (Not included) with the purpose of reducing
cleaning interventions on the shells clogged by dirt. This system enables resetting the FK functioning directly on your pond Fig.
11.
Remove the upper shell (5) Fig. 12.
Detach the lid of the lower shell by using a tool (12) Fig. 13.
Screw the suction extension (14) on the impeller cover (11) Fig. 14.
Fasten the hose tail using the proper ring nut (15) Fig. 15.
Close the upper shell (5) Fig. 16.
If you decide to remove the Pond Skimmer and re-establish the initial working configuration of the FK you must close the hole in
the lower shell with the proper suction cover (13) provided, as shown in Figs.17-18.
If the pump should suddenly stop, it is possible that a thermic protection has intervened. In this case, disconnect the pump
from the electrical supply and proceed to cleaning it as indicated in the paragraph "Cleaning the pump". When the motor is
cold (after about 2-3 hours) reconnect the pump to the electrical supply. If the pump does not start, contact a specialized
technician.
7. CLEANING THE FK.
7.1.
PARTIAL RESETTING OF THE SHELLS.
Some versions of the FK are equipped with a shell cleaning system, which, by using a water tube connected to the house water
system, enables partially resetting the use of the FK if the shells are clogged due to dirt.
Unplug the FK.
Remove the cover that partially closet the hole of the lower shell with a tool (12) Fig. 19.
Screw the hose tail for partial resetting (10) on to the lower shell (12) Fig. 20.
Connect the rubber tube of the water works to the hose tail Fig. 21.
Open the tap of the water works in order to carry out the partial cleaning of the shells (about 10 seconds are enough).
7.2.
COMPLETE CLEANING OF THE SHELLS.
In order to completely clean the FK shells:
Unplug the FK
Remove the FK from the pond. Attention!! The product must never be pulled by the pump feeling cable
Open the upper shell (5) as shown in Fig. 12
Clean the shells with running water, avoid using any detergents
Close the upper shell and put the pump back into the pond
7.3.
CLEANING THE PLAYING OF THE FOUNTAIN.
In order to clean the playing of the fountain simply unscrew the components and wash them with running water.
To assemble the "Comby" playing of the fountain refer to Fig. 27.
The shells and the playing of the fountain must be cleaned when a drop in flow from the FK in noted.
7.4.
CLEANING THE PUMP.
The pump must be cleaned at least once a year or when a drop in the performance of the FK, not caused by the shells clogging,
is noticed:
Unplug the FK.
Remove the FK from the pond. Attention!! The product must never be pulled by the pump electrical cable.
Open the upper shell (5) as shown in Fig. 12.
Remove the cover of the impeller by turning it counter-clockwise Fig. 25.
Remove the pump by unscrewing the fastening screws Fig. 24.
Remove the rotor, making sure to not lose the washer (7) Fig. 26. Handle the rotor with care to avoid breaking the ceramic
shaft.
Rinse the motor with running water and avoid using detergents Fig. 23.
Check the state of wear and tear on the rotor, the impeller and the plastic bearings, and if necessary replace them.
Reposition the washer, the rotor and the impeller cover.
Reposition the pump in its seat by fastening it with screws.
Close the upper shell and reposition the pump in the pond.
The magnetic field is very strong therefore be extremely careful when inserting the impeller in its housing.
