opened and closed by manually pressing the
shutter lever. Move the lever to the CLOSED po-
sition to enrich the mixture for cold start.

OUTPUT INDICATOR LIGHT
The output indicator light (green) illuminates
when the generator is operating normally. Indi-
cates that the generator is producing electrical
energy in the receptacles.
INDICATOR LIGHT OF OVERLOAD
If the generator is overloaded (more than 2000
VA), or if a short circuit occurs in a connected
device, the overload indicator light (red) will
continue. The overload indicator light (red) will
remain on, and after about four seconds, the
power to the connected device (s) will turn off,
and the output indicator light (green) will turn
off.
OIL ALERT SYSTEM
The oil alert system is designed to prevent en-
gine damage caused by an insufficient amount
of oil in the crankcase. Before the oil level in the
crankcase can fall below a safety limit, the oil
alert indicator light turn on and the oil warning
system it automatically shuts off the engine (the
engine switch remains in the ON position).
If the engine stops or the oil alert indicator light
comes on when you pull the starter handle,
check the engine oil level before troubleshoot-
ing in other areas.

LAND TERMINAL
The ground terminal of the generator is con-
nected to the generator frame, the non-current-
carrying metal parts of the generator, and the
ground terminals of each receptacle.
Before using the ground terminal, consult a
qualified electrician, an electrical inspector or
the local authority competent for the codes or

local ordinances that apply to the intended use
of the generator.
ECONOMIC MODE
The economic system automatically reduces
engine speed when all loads are off or discon-
nected. When the devices are switched on or
reconnected, the motor returns to the proper
speed to feed the electric charge.
If high electrical loads are connected simultane-
ously, turn the Eco-accelerator switch to the off
position to reduce the voltage changes.
When the DC output is used, set the Eco-acceler-
ator switch to the OFF position.
ON: Recommended to minimize fuel consump-
tion and further reduce noise levels when no
load is applied to the generator.
OFF: The Eco-accelerator system does not work.
AC CIRCUIT PROTECTOR
The AC circuit protector will automatically shut
off if there is a short circuit or significant gen-
erator overload in the AC receptacles. If the
circuit protector is automatically deactivated,
check that the device is working properly and
does not exceed the rated load capacity of the
circuit before reset the circuit protector.
DC RECEPTACLE
The DC receptacle should ONLY be used to
charge 12 volt automotive type batteries. The
DC load output is not regulated.
DC CIRCUIT PROTECTOR
The DC circuit protector automatically turns off
the charging circuit of the DC battery when the
DC charging circuit is overloaded, when there is
a problem with the battery, or when the con-
nections between the battery and the generator
are improper.
CONNECTIONS TO AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
WARNING: Incorrect connections to a fixed elec-
trical system can allow electrical current from
the generator to be returned by utility lines.
This feedback can electrocut the utility workers
or other people who come in contact with the
lines during a power outage, and the genera-
tor can explode, burn or cause fires when the
power is restored. Consult the electric company
or a qualified electrician.
GROUND CONNECTION
Portable generators have a system ground that
connects the components of the frame to the
ground terminals in the AC output receptacles.
The system ground is not connected to the AC
neutral wire. If the generator is tested by a re-
ceptacle tester, the same ground circuit condi-
tion will not be displayed as a receptacle for the
home.
