Hand all product-related documents to the user or person
responsible for use.
Outdoor use, especially when involving high humidity and/or salt
content in the air is not allowed, since function and safety will be
adversely affected in the long run.
The following instructions for use are important, helping to
ensure proper practical application.
However, they cannot replace experience, responsible action
and knowledge required for mountaineering, climbing, and
working at a height or depth; and they certainly cannot free users
from shouldering their personal risk.
All bolts must be tightened to the torques indicated by the
manufacturer.
Application notes
Maximum service life is achieved under optimum storage
conditions (see storage) and without use: unlimited
Climate for use
The continuous operating temperature of the product (in dry
condition) ranges from approx. –20°C to +50°C.
Safety notes
If this product is combined with other equipment parts, these
may mutually impair operating safety. Prior to and after use
check the product for signs of damage (e.g. deformation,

ansonsten kann die Funktionsfähigkeit des Schnappers
beeinträchtigt werden.
Assembly
Installation on a protection point with 10 mm steel screw links to
EN 12275 or EN 362. The information provided by the
manufacturer of the screw link must be observed. (see Fig. 1)
We recommend having the function and the wear parts of the
equipment inspected yearly by a qualified person (person
installing the wall or someone authorised by the person installing
the wall).
To help minimise rope friction on permanently installed top rope
stations, we recommend fastening the snap lock with an M4 x 8
bolt as shown in the drawing. (Fig. 2)
Use:
1) Attach rope (Fig. 3)
2) Detach rope only by pulling it out/back (Fig. 4)
3) Do NOT reach with your fingers into the karabiner gates!
(Fig. 5)
4) Do NOT attach a second rope: Danger of fatal accidents!
(Fig. 6a)
5) Do NOT feed the rope through the second opening: Danger of
fatal accidents! (Fig. 6b)
6) The karabiner must not be loaded when misaligned in the lock
of the screw link, and the rope must not run across the open
shank of the karabiner; danger of fatal accidents (Fig. 7)
