Removal of Existing Fuel Door
1. Open fuel door.
2. Remove the two Torx T30 head screws holding the fuel cup
housing in place. See Figure 1A.

3. Drill out existing rivets holding fuel door hinge in place. See
callout 1 Figure 2A.

4. Remove the fuel door assembly by sliding the assembly
towards the rear of the vehicle.
5. Unscrew gas filler cap.
6. Remove tether from existing fuel door hinge.

Installation of New Fuel Door Assembly
1. Reinstall gas filler cap.
2. Install the two U-nuts provided in the kit onto the fuel door
hinge.
a. Figure 3A shows one of the U-Nuts installed on the
hinge. Make sure the holes are aligned between the U-
Nut and hole on the fuel door hinge.
b. Repeat for the top hole in the fuel door hinge.

3. Install the fuel door assembly by sliding the assembly
towards the front of the vehicle. Making sure the holes in
the fuel door hinge align with the holes in the sheet metal.
See Figure 4A.

4. Install the two Torx T27 screws provided in the kit into these
two holes through the sheet metal. Tighten the screws to 9
N*m (80 lb in).
5. Reinstall the two Torx T30 screws that hold the fuel cup
housing in place. Tighten the screws to 9 N*m (80 lb in).
See Figure 1A.
6. Close the fuel door.
7. Check for positioning of the fuel door in relationship to the
opening in the sheet metal.
8. If any adjustment is needed loosening the Torx T27 screws
holding the fuel door in place and move accordingly. Then
retighten the screws.
9. Reinstall tether in fuel door hinge.
10. Close the fuel door.
