Installation

CAUTION: Always use the handle to lift the pump. Never use the power cord to lift the pump. To avoid skin burns, unplug the pump and
allow time for it to cool after periods of extended use.
1
Connecting a PVC adaptor to a
foot valve
Install the pump on a solid base. Make sure that the
pump cannot pick up rocks, mud and debris, etc. If
necessary, put a block under the pump to raise it
slightly.
To adjust the pump flow rate, install a diverter
valve between the discharge pipes.
2
Adjust the diverter valve to
control the flow
If used in a waterfall vault, adjust the diverter valve
to control the flow over the waterfall. Do not restrict
pump suction to adjust flows.

Operation

DANGER: Do not handle the pump or pump motor with wet hands or when standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water.
Plug the pump power cord plug into a GFCI power outlet. The pump will pump water out in a minute.
It's not recommend to install a check valve, the check valve might cause airlock. If a check valve is installed, drill a 1/8 in. hole between
the check valve and pump discharge.
The pump can run in water that does not completely cover the pump, but the water has to cover at least half of the pump. If the water
level is too low, it might cause the pump to run dry or the motor to overheat.
Keep the inlet screen clean at all times. If the bottom surface of the pond or waterfall is dirty, raise the pump slightly to reduce the amount
of debris pulled into the pump inlet to prevent the impeller from clogging.
NOTE: Make certain the pump is submerged in water.
Running the pump dry can damage the shaft seal.
