CAUTION: Always use the handle to lift the pump. Never use the power cord to lift the pump. To avoid skin burns, unplug the pump and
allow time for it to cool after periods of extended use.
Do
When the power is disconnected, inspect the pump suction
screen and remove all debris, then plug the pump back into
the grounded (GFCI) outlet.

TO CLEAN A PUMP CLOGGED WITH DEBRIS:

Periodically unplug the pump, making certain your hands are dry, and you are not standing in water. When the power is disconnected,
inspect the pump inlets and remove all debris, then plug the pump back into the grounded (GFCI) outlet.
To clean a pump clogged with debris, first unplug the pump from electrical power. Then, referring to the picture below, unscrew the
stainless screws (6), remove the screen(5), then unscrew the stainless screws(4), remove suction plate(3). Use a flathead screwdriver
to hold the shaft(1), then turn the impeller counterclockwise to release the impeller. Remove debris from around the shaft (1)and on
and under the impeller (2). Then reassemble the impeller(2), suction plate(3), and screen(5).
CAUTION: Take the pump out of freezing water in the winter. Freezing water can damage the pump and cause water leakage in the
motor housing and cause an electrical shortage issue.
Do Not
Do not disassemble the motor housing. This motor has NO
repairable internal parts, and disassembly may cause
leakage or dangerous electrical wiring issues.
Do not lift up the pump by the power cord.
