The saw blade can be directly inserted into the material (only
for wood work pieces), but this operation should only be
performed by operators with considerable work experience
and with the exclusive use of short blades.
With the machine running, the saw blade should be rested on
the work piece at an angle of 55°-60° (fig.4) in relation to the
front edge of the base, it should then be pressed, slowly and
carefully, onto the material.
The first phase of the operation should be undertaken with
great care: sudden counter-strokes and overloads during
contact between the blade and work piece, or excessively
rapid penetration of the material, can provoke blade
breakage.
Penetration should only be carried out at maximum speed.
45° ANGLED CUTTING
The straight blade should always be fitted for angled or
shaped cutting operations (Felisatti 000.512.054 type).
For circular cuts, use the overturned side cutting regulating
device, with the end bit positioned at the center of the circle
that is to be cut.
For 5° angled cuts to the right or to the left, incline the base
plate.
SIDE GUIDE
If cutting operations need to be carried out at a preset
distance from a 90° rabbet, the special side guide L (Fig.1-2)
(supplied with the machine) can be fitted.
The guide should be inserted sideways into the base plate
housing. In order to fix the distance from the desired edge,
tighten the flathead screws located on the base.
ANTI-SHAVINGS PLATE (fig.5)
The plate should be inserted into the machine base from
below, as shown in the fig.
During cutting operations, the wood fibers will be pressed
against the plate, thus avoiding tears and snags.
The use of the plate is limited to right angle cuts.
SHAVINGS SUCTION UNITS
In order to keep working areas clean and dust free, the
machine has been fitted with a suction pipe union.
To carry out this operation, connect a corrugated pipe to this
union.
IMPROPER USE
The functions and use of this tool are those exclusively
indicated in this manual.
Any other use of the tool is explicitly forbidden!
MAINTENANCE
Regular inspection reduces the necessity for maintenance
operations and will keep your tool in good working condition.
The tool bearings and gears are life-long lubricated, however
it is advised to check the condition of the grease in the head
every 100 hours, if necessary replace the grease (use GR-
MU-EP2 AGIP grease, or a similar product). The motor must
be correctly ventilated during tool operation. For this reason
avoid blocking the air inlets with hands.
The movable needle on the blade support should be
6
periodically lubricated with a few drops of oil.
After use disconnect the tool from the power supply and
clean carefully.
DISPOSAL
At the end of the machine's working life, or when it can no
longer be repaired, ensure that it is disposed of according
to the standard regulations of the country in which it is
being used, and that the disposal operation is carried out by
specialized personnel following authorized guidelines.
In all circumstances:
- Do not abandon in the environment;
- Do not dispose of together with solid urban waste
products;
- Contact the special recycling centers.
PARTS REPLACEMENT
Attention! Disconnect the plug from the power supply socket
before replacing any parts.
The brushes must be replaced after approx. 150-00 working
hours, or if they are less then 5-6 mm in length.
Attention! For correct tool operation always change
the brushes in pairs, not separately. The use of original
Felisatti spare parts is recommended.
Given the difficulty of this operation, it is advised that it should
only be performed by an authorized service center.
ATTENTION: After fitting new brushes allow the motor to
run idle for 5 minutes.
REPLACING THE POWER SUPPLY CABLE
Check that the power supply cable is in good condition, if not
have it replaced by an authorized service center.
REPLACEMENT OF BLADES (fig.6)
For perfect operation and optimal tool performance, only use
original Felisatti blades. In order to fit the blade, insert the
shank of the saw into the slot located on the lower part of
the gauge block on the saw support shaft, push the blade up
into position, locking in place with the special spanner, the
hexagonal headed screw should be positioned on the side
of the block. The hexagonal key is provided with the machine
and is inserted in a hole on the suction sleeve, fitted on the
support plate.
WARRANTY
See general warranty conditions printed on the attached
sheet.
NOISE AND VIBRATION
This tool has been designed and made to reduce noise to a
minimum. However, in spite of this, in certain circumstances
the maximum noise level in the place of work could exceed 85
dBA. In this case, the operator should wear ear protection.
The machine's noise and vibration levels, measured in
compliance with EN 6075, usually reach:
Acoustic pressure = 90 dB(A)
Sound-power level = 101 dB(A)
Use ear protection!
