Ensure that the clamping levers and the corresponding counterparts of the grab as well as the
rim of the crate to be picked up are neither deformed nor contaminated, so that a perfect
positive connection is ensured over the entire length of the clamping levers.
Check the complete load lifting attachment for damage, cracks or deformations.
The load lifting attachment must open and close easily and freely.
Check the springs of the locking pins for fixing the clamping arms and the turning mechanism
for easy and free movement.

TTACHMENT
Lower the crate grab suspended in the suspension (e.g. hook, shackle, etc.) onto the stacking
box to be picked up until it rests on the rim of the box centrally above the assumed load centre
of gravity and the clamping jaws can safely reach under the rim of the box over their entire
length. By pulling out and holding the locking pin which fixes the clamping arms and then lifting
the suspension (e.g. hook, shackle, etc.), the clamping arms are closed. They reach under the
handles of the stacking box which are safely lifted.
After setting down, the locking pin automatically latches again and holds the grab open.
Crate grab with tipping device (optional)
The tipping mechanism is secured by a further locking pin which must be pulled in order to
start tipping of the gripped stacking box.
After the box has been emptied, the locking pin must be pulled once more in order to fix the
box again in a horizontal position.
Attention: The crate grab may only be moved when the crate is in a horizontal position.
Attention: Tipping of the transported box must only be controlled via the fixed hand
lever. Danger of crushing!
TKA /d
According to national and international accident prevention and safety regulations hoisting
equipment must be inspected:
• in accordance with the risk assessment of the operating company,
• prior to initial operation,
• before the unit is put into service again following a shut down
• after substantial changes,
• however, at least once per year, by a competent person.
Attention: Actual operating conditions (e.g. operation in galvanizing facilities) can
dictate shorter inspection intervals.
