Tools Required: Trim release tool and Side cutters.
1. Remove Passenger side centre console side panels. Re-
fer to figure 1.
2. Use a trim release tool to remove console cap.
3. Disconnect the traction control switch and 12V power
socket (2) from the vehicle body harness. Refer to figure
2.
4. Remove the traction control switch and the 12V power
socket from the existing console cap and fit into supplied
console cap.
5. Insert the special service tool (1) (J42059) into the power
socket (2) at an angle and into the slots in the side of the
socket. Support the cover and use the tool to pull the inner
steel sleeve of the socket out from the socket bezel (3).

6. Remove the bezel and fit the bezel into the replacement
gauge cover.
7. Pass the cigarette lighter connector through the bezel.
8. Align the notch on the steel sleeve of the cigarette lighter
body with the notch in the bezel and push in. Refer to fig-

9. Connect the gauge patch harness between the 12 pin con-
nector forward of the park brake lever and cable tie to the
vehicle harness every 150mm. Refer to figure 4.
10. feed the patch harness under the center console into the
center of the console at the location of the replacement cap.
Cable tie the new harness to the existing console as re-
quired.
11. Connect the harness to the gauges and reconnect the trac-
tion control switch and 12V power socket.
12. Fit the replacement console cap.
13. Check functionality of gauges.
14. Refit centre console side panels.
15. Refit all parts removed.
