2. Clean vehicle decklid area with soap and water to remove residue
prior to installation.
3. For best results, trunk lid should be free of damage (dents, scuffs,
creases, fractures, etc.).
4. Do not use petroleum based cleaning products. If a strong cleaner
is required, we recommend using 3M general purpose adhesive
cleaner (PN 08984) with a clean cloth to remove all visible
contaminates (road tar, etc.). It may take the use of several cloths
to obtain a clean surface. It is important to replace the cloth when
soiled or you will be smearing or wiping contaminates back on
the vehicle. After using the Adhesive Cleaner, use the SOLVENT
PKG-BODY SURF CLNR; (PN 12365938 14W 0849Z 0030).

Spoiler Installation
NOTE: To optimize decklid opening and closing efforts there are 2
coil springs, located one on each side of the decklid opening behind
the trim. These springs control the opening force and closing force
of the decklid and are attached to the rear end panel by a bracket.
To decrease the opening efforts, the notch closest to the rear end is
where the spring should be positioned. To adjust the springs, remove
the trim and pull the spring to the notch closest to you on each side.
[Please refer to decklid trim removal instructions.]
[Please refer to decklid trim side removal instructions.]
For better operation, especially in the cold with the spoilers, it is
recommended that both springs be moved to this rearward
most location.
1. Paint the spoiler if required.
