II. MACHINE MOUNTING
PROCEDURE:
NOTE: Prior to mounting the machine on the
pipe, cutter head should be raised to
the " full up" position.
1. Lift machine onto pipe utilizing the four lifting eyes and
position over the area to be cut. ( Fig. 2 )
NOTE: This procedure requires two techni-
cians and the use of an overhead
hoist.

III. CHAIN INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
1. Feed chain over the top of the outside gears and under
the center tensioner gear. ( Fig. 3 )
NOTE: Be sure that the tensioner sprocket is
retracted to it's highest position prior
to installing chain.

2. Link chain together using the supplied master links or
pins.
3. Repeat chain installation procedure on opposite side
of the machine as well.
4. Once chain has been properly installed, apply tension
to the chain by turning the chain tensioner nut counter
clockwise utilizing the provided 1-3/8" open ended
wrench. Turn nut until it raises off of the tensioner
cover plate and a red indicator line becomes visible.
This insures proper tension ( 1400 lbs. of force ).

NOTE: Lifting harness should remain on the
machine until chains have been prop-
erly secured.
5. Repeat procedure on opposite side of the machine.
NOTE: All mounting procedures should be done while power
supply is disconnected. Attach power supply once
chain set up is completed.
