8. Lean forward over the sink; do not tilt your head.
9. Place the self-sealing SoftSeal™ nozzle into your nostril, open your mouth
slightly while gently squeezing the trigger to control the pulsating fl ow
of saline solution up and over your nasal passage (allow 10 seconds per
nasal passage), exiting the opposite side. Allow approximately 4 ounces or
half of the solution to clean and moisturize, then gently blow your nose to
remove mucus, bacteria and any excess water from your nose. Repeat on
opposite side of nasal passage.
10. Discard all remaining solution and clean the nozzle and water reservoir
thoroughly with soap and water; rinse thoroughly and towel dry.
Cleaning Your Waterpik
Water Pulsator
Remove the self-sealing SoftSeal™ nozzle and reservoir. You may wash
the nozzle in the dishwasher by placing it in the utility basket. Wash the
reservoir and water pulsator with warm soap and water, rinse thoroughly
and use a clean towel to dry. You may wash the reservoir in the dishwasher
on the top rack. Do not wash mechanical device in the dishwasher.

Water Pulsator
with Hydrogen Peroxide
1. Remove the blue reservoir and clean thoroughly with a bottle brush
and dish detergent.
2. Fill blue reservoir with 2 ounces of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and
fasten to the device.
3. Run Water Pulsator so that peroxide is pumped through the device (run
for 2 seconds after hydrogen peroxide begins fl owing from the nozzle).
Note: Be sure to direct the stream in a safe direction. This could be done by
placing a clean cloth over the nozzle or cleaning in the shower.
4. Place Water Pulsator in an area where it will not be accidentally used and
allow the device to sit 24 hours while fi lled with the hydrogen peroxide.
5. Remove blue reservoir, empty, and rinse with clean water.
6. Fill reservoir with clean water, then turn unit on and run until empty.
7. Water Pulsator is now clean and ready for use.
