    REGARD 3000 ist eine modular aufgebaute Auswerteeinheit für Gas- und Feuerwarnsysteme. Die Auswerteeinheit besteht aus einer Docking Station, die bis zu 3 Module aufnehmen kann. Beim REGARD 3000 handelt es sich um ein System mit verteilter Intelligenz. Jedes Modul verfügt über die für seine Funktion notwendige Intelligenz.

    Systemstörung führt zum Abfallen (normally energized) des jeweils auf der Docking Station befindlichen Fehlerrelais. Anlagen mit Anforderungen nach SIL3 lassen sich mit REGARD 3000 durch den Aufbau mit redundanten Kanälen realisieren und sind nur in Verbindung mit einem REGARD 7000 möglich.

    Display Unit dargestellt werden und über ein Gateway-Modul an übergeordnete Leitwarten weitergegeben werden. Einschränkungen des Verwendungszwecks REGARD 3000 ist nicht konzipiert für den Einsatz in der Prozesssteuerung. Das REGARD 3000-Netzwerk darf nur für die REGARD 3000-Kommunikation verwendet werden. Die Verbindung z. B. mit einem allgemeinen IT-Netzwerk ist unzulässig.

    17,8 cm (7 Zoll) Montage und Inbetriebnahme Systemaufbau REGARD 3000 bildet die Zentrale für die gesamte Gas- und ggf. Feuerwarnanlage. REGARD 3000 ist für die Wandmontage konzipiert, kann aber auch in einem Schaltschrank montiert werden. Die Docking Station wird dazu auf eine entsprechende Montageplatte im Schrank geschraubt (siehe Montageanweisung Docking Station).
