Description
The DC107 series are flush mounted magnetic contacts that
can be connected to a burglar alarm system. The DC107
series can be used in ferromagnetic environments and doors.
For differences in the DC107 series see "Specifications" below.
Mounting
No special mounting tools are required.
The magnetic contact and the magnet should be mounted
directly across from each other. Select the desired mounting
positions and drill appropriate holes. Mount the magnet and the
contact in the holes.
During installation the switching distances have to be
individually determined for each contact.
When the installation is completed, the electrical switch
function of the magnetic contact must be checked (for
example, with a continuity checker or multimeter). Use of
mechanical force, for example when installing, can damage the
glass body of the reed switches.
Note:
When installing the contact, please keep in mind that the
doors can bend under temperature influence.

UTC recommends to check regularly that the magnetic contact
is working properly on the control panel and that the installers
advise their customers to do this.
