WARNING – To prevent severe shock or electrocution, always
turn power off at the service panel before installing this unit,
working on the circuit, or changing a lamp.
CAUTION – To reduce the risk of overheating and possible
damage to other equipment, do not install incandescent dimmer
to control a receptacle, a fluorescent light or bulb, a motor-
operated appliance, or a transformer-supplied appliance.
• Do not use dimmer with incandescent lamps whose power
requirements exceeds maximum power (stated in Watts) of
the dimmer.
• Do not connect dimmer to power source other than 120VAC,
60 Hz only.
• A 50W minimum load is required.
• Use copper wire only.
The TDFC-1A Touch Fan Speed Control is designed to
replace a standard fan speed control switch. It controls
ceiling paddle fans. The fan speed control has a rocker
paddle and 4 speed control buttons. Use the speed buttons
to select a desired fan speed. The 4 speed buttons offer
the following options: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. The rocker
paddle operates in the following way:
The LED on the rocker paddle acts as a load status LED.
When the connected fan is off, the load status LED will be
on at a dim level. When the connected fan is turned on, the
LED will increase in brightness. Each of the 4 fan speed
control buttons has an LED. The LED will be illuminated on
one of the buttons indicating the current speed of the fan.
Caution: Use only with ceiling paddle fans. Do not use to control lighting, receptacles, or transformer-operated devices. Do not use for
a fan and a light wired together on the same load wire. This device should not be wired in the same circuit as a GFCI circuit breaker or
receptacle.
Important Notes
1. It is normal for the fan speed control to feel warm to the touch during operation.
2. Protect the fan speed control from dust and dirt when painting and spackling.
3. Multiple fans can be controlled by a single fan speed control as long as the total ratings of the fans does not exceed the maximum load
rating on the device.

La instalación debe estar a cargo de un electricista certificado u otra
persona calificada.
ADVERTENCIA. Para evitar una fuerte descarga eléctrica o la
electrocución, siempre desconecte el suministro eléctrico en el panel de
servicio antes de instalar esta unidad, trabajar en el circuito o cambiar
una lámpara.
PRECAUCIÓN. Para reducir el riesgo de sobrecalentamiento y
posibles daños a otros equipos, no instale el atenuador incandescente
para controlar un receptáculo, una luz o una bombilla fluorescentes, un
aparato accionado por motor o un aparato con transformador.
• No utilice el atenuador con lámparas incandescentes cuyos
requisitos de potencia superen la potencia máxima (expresada en
vatios) del atenuador.
• No conecte el atenuador a una fuente de alimentación que sea
distinta de 120 V CA y 60 Hz solamente.
• Se requiere una carga mínima de 50 W.
• Use solamente cables de cobre.
