Protection of thrower drive against overload:
To protect the drive against damage resulting
from blockages etc., the Rapid Snow Thrower is
fitted with shear bolts on the thrower wheel and
a shear pin on the impeller. If a sudden blockage
occurs, these break and must be replaced. The
correct replacement parts are to be found with
the tools supplied.
Replacement of shear bolts on the thrower
wheel:
Remove deformed or broken bolts (1) and replace
with new ones. Tighten the bolts with the lock
nuts and take care not to over-tighten the nuts.
Only use the Rapid original shear bolts!
Replacement: shear bolt type: 252 245

Level check after end of winter season

Worm and ring gear of the funnel adjust-
ment:
Lubricate worm of the funnel adjustment with
grease (OKS 220).
Replacement of shear pin (4) on impeller:
After opening the funnel
- dismantle the funnel, remove one guide roller
first (F).
- align the impeller hole according to the marking
on the shaft.
Replacement: spring dowel sleeve type: 75 666

Adjustments:
Guide runners
The guide runners are already factory-set to the
correct height. The scoop edges have to be read-
justed after wear. Position the guide runners so
that with uneven or soft subsoil, no earth, stones
etc. can be taken up by the snowthrower.
- Place the snow thrower on a level surface, loosen
the screws and adjust each guide runner so that
it makes contact with the ground. Tighten the
screws.
Breakdowns
Blocked ejection funnel:
Switch off the thrower drive and turn off the
motor. Wait until the thrower wheel is com-
pletely stationary.
Compacted snow can be removed using the ram
fixed to the thrower housing. Do not use any metal
objects for this purpose.

Operating faults

Engine does not respond:
• Dead man’s handle is not pressed down.
• Petrol tank is empty, or petrol is too old.
• Fuel line is clogged.
• Spark plug socket is not on the spark plug.
• Spark plug is faulty.
• Choke is in the wrong position.
Engine runs, but snowthrower does not drive:
• Check the setting of the freewheel lever.
Thrower drive does not turn:
• Fully release the brake lever.
Gurantee
The gurantee regulations issued by our company
or importer are valid in every country. We shall
repair your machine free of charge under the terms
of the gurantee provided the cause is a material or
a production defect. In the event of a claim under
the gurantee please contact the salesperson who
sold you the machine or your nearest branch.
