Attach the blower assembly and fan assembly connectors to the three-pin connectors

on the system board. See Figure 1-2 and Figure 1-3.
Replace the cooling shroud. See Figure 1-2.

Ensure that you did not leave tools or parts inside the system.

Place the cover over the sides of the chassis, and slide the cover forward until it snaps

into place. See Figure 1-1.
Tighten the thumbscrew at the back of the system to secure the cover. See Figure 1-1.

Reconnect the system and peripherals to the electrical outlet and turn on the system.

Removing and Installing the Power Supply
The system supports a single power supply located behind IDE hard drive 3.
To replace a failed power supply, perform the following steps.
CAUTION: See your System Information Guide for complete information about
safety precautions, working inside the computer, and protecting against
electrostatic discharge.
Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the

electrical outlet.
Unplug the power cable from the receptacle on the system's back panel.

Loosen the thumbscrew at the back of the system. See Figure 1-1.

Slide the system cover backward about 2.5 cm (1 inch), grasp the cover on both sides,

and carefully lift the cover away from the system.
Remove the plastic insert that secures the power supply inside the system. See

Figure 1-7.
Disconnect the power-supply cable from the converter board. See Figure 1-7.

Grasp the front of the power supply, push it toward the back of the system, and lift it

out of the chassis.
Remove the two screws on the converter board, slide the board toward the back of the

system about 1 cm (0.5 inch), and lift it off the guide pins and out of the chassis. See
Figure 1-7.
