Normal body temperature can vary slightly depending on age and gender.
Generally, new-born babies or children have higher body temperatures than
adults, and adults have higher body temperatures than the elderly. Also,
woman's body temperature can be approximately 0.3°C (0.5 °F) higher than a
man's.
Before first use, take the battery cover
off and remove the piece of plastic
insulation from between the batteries.
