3. S – Clip
Fixing of fractures
(Clamps can be twisted when melting them in.)
e.g. surface application
3. Attachments
In order to facilitate working in tight spots, two additional clamp adaptors are included in the delivery of the
Accumulator Easy Clip:
a) angled 45°
Connect the desired clamp adaptor to the handle of the Accumulator Easy Clip depending on the repair situa-
tion. To do so, unscrew the knurled nut on the handle of the Accumulator Easy Clip a little, remove the instal-
led clamp adaptor and replace it by the desired clamp adaptor (holes pointing to the outside). Then screw the
screwcaps hand-tighten.
4. Commissioning

4.1 Charging process

Fully charge the device before the first use.
a) Connect the 12V battery charger included in the delivery to a 220V socket.
b) Connect the battery charger to the socket at the rear side of the Accumulator Easy Clip.
c) The flashing (1x /sec.) of the LED at the front side of the Accumulator Easy Clip indicates that the charging
is in progress. The accumulator is fully charged when the LED stops flashing.
d) If the accumulator is discharged, the LED starts flashing during operation. In this case, it is possible to
connect the battery charger and continue working.
NOTE:
In order to attain the optimum service life of the accumulator, only recharge it when it is fully dischar-
ged (LED flashing during operation). The accumulator is always fully charged!
The charging process is controlled by a microchip by means of the temperature of the accumulator. After long
use of the Accumulator Easy Clip the accumulators may have an increased temperature. The charging
process starts delayed, only when the accumulator has decreased to the normal temperature. During the
charging, the charging process is automatically interrupted for safety reasons as soon as the accumulator
attains a temperature of 45°C. The charging process is continued, if the critical temperature falls below the
determined value. For this reason the charging process may take up to 5.5h due to increased outside
temperatures. Do not keep the Accumulator Easy Clip in direct sunlight. (Heating up the accumulator)
4.2 Operation
4.2.1 Operation 14 watts (standard operation)
a) Push a clamp into the two holes of the installed clamp adaptor.
b) Push the release button and the LED is lit continuously. The clamp is heated up at 14 watts and can be let
in the plastic material after a few seconds.
c) If the desired depth and position of the clamp is attained, release the release button.
d) Wait for about 3 to 5 seconds, until the clamp cooled down and then remove the Accumulator Easy Clip
from the molded in clamp.
e) Cut off protruding metal tips using side cutting pliers.
CAUTION! Wear safety goggles! Cut-off wire remainders may spatter and hurt the eye.
NOTE:
If you are working with thin plastic materials and / or the welding process goes on too rapidly, the
Accumulator Easy Clip can be switched to a lower stage.
4.2.2 Operation 10 watts (low stage)
Press the release button twice shortly and then keep it pressed.
The LED flashes once and is the continuously lit. In this way you may recognize that the device is heated up at
the low 10 watts stage.
NOTE:
In order to heat up clamps at the low 10 watts stage, it is necessary to repeat the process described under
item 4.2.2 for each inserted clamp. Otherwise, the standard setting is always 14 watts.
b) angled 80°
4. Wave – Clip
Fixing of fractures
Clamps can be inserted vertically or horizontally
on top to fractures e.g. surface applications
