NOTE!
Risk of damage
• For safety reasons, unauthorised
modifications and/or changes to the product
are not permitted.
• Make sure that commissioning is performed
properly.
• Since the Louis Special Edition Scottoiler is
a universal product and not intended just
for one particular vehicle, it is important to
make sure that it is suitable for your type of
motorcycle before you use the product for
the first time. Always follow the instructions
in your vehicle owner's manual and the
directions of the vehicle manufacturer.
This is essential as improper use, or its
unsuitability for a vehicle, could impair the
safety of the vehicle and/or damage it.
• Check the Louis Special Edition Scottoiler
before every journey for damaged or missing
parts.

How does the Scottoiler work?
The "Louis Special Edition" Scottoiler is vacuum-controlled.
When the engine is running, a vacuum is created. It lifts a
diaphragm and, in turn, opens the valve. While the valve is
open, oil flows by gravity through the delivery tube to the
chain via the rear sprocket. The quantity of oil is regulated by
the valve setting. It is not a pump.
What effect does this have on the engine?
If the vacuum tube is connected correctly, none at all. The
dispensing of the oil is not controlled by the engine speed,
throttle valve position or similar. The vacuum chamber is a
self-contained unit and does not influence the running of
the engine in any way. The valve opens when the engine is
started, and closes when the engine is switched off.
