SAFETY RULES

WARNING!
Please read these safety rules carefully before using the chain saw and foilow the instructions: to pre-
vent accidents and ensure personal safety.

1. Children must not electric chain saws, excluding those over 16 under an expert adult's control for training
purposes.
2. Use the bar cover when moving the electric chain saw away from working site.
3. During transport the brakemust be applied to avoid accidental start-up.
4. Do not expose the electric chain saw to rain or particulary damp conditions.
5. Use the electric chain saw holding it firmly with both hands.
6. It is advisable to provide a support for the chain saw when cutting branches. Do not cut using the bar point
and beware of branches under tension.
7. Always disconnect the electric chain saw when not in use, to avoid causing damage to third persons.
8. Make sure the tool is dosconnected when checking, tihgtening, changing or cleaning the chain.
9. Ensure electric chain saw's safety conditions, especially bar and chain before use.
10. The machine must not work in an explosive-environment.
Proper use of the chain saw
11. Wear suitable clothes which do not hinder movement.
12. Find a stable position before beginning work.
13. Keep people away from the chain saw when using it.
14. Check the following conditions before beginning work:
a) there should be no people in the felling area
b) the only people should be those performing felling operations;
c) the working area should be free from obstacles.
15. Make a wedge-shaped cut before felling the tree, then the felling cut leaving a hinge for the falling direc-
tion.
16. Beware of any falling branches after felling operations.
17. Beware of wood splinters when cutting chopped wood.
18. When working on slopes, the saw operator must stand beside or above the wood to cut, i.e. felled trees.
19. Do not use steel riving knives

20. Use specific protections during operations involving head, hands, feet, eyes and ears.
21. We recommend the use of a helmet with a visor during felling, branch cutting and chopping
operations.
22. Wear gloves with an external protection when using the chain saw
23. Use ear protections to prevent hearing injuries.
24. Wear safety boots when using the electric chain saw
25. We recommend the use of anticut pants and jackets to protect legs and arms.
