Installation via threaded holes
on the flange side
(Figure 2a)
Block the driveshaft on the customer side.
Install the coupling (3); ensure that it does
not touch the encoder flange.
Push the encoder with installed coupling (3)
onto the driveshaft and centring/clamping
attachment (7).
Fasten the encoder using three
M4 screws (1).
Fasten the coupling (3) on the driveshaft.
Make the electrical connections with the
voltage switched off. Switch on the voltage
and check the functioning of the encoder.

Installation via the clamping attachment
(Figure 2b)
Caution!
Since the clamping attachment is also
simultaneously the centring attachment, the
clamping device must be designed such that
no impermissible angular offset or shaft
offset is produced while clamping it firmly.
Block the driveshaft on the customer side.
Install the coupling (3); ensure that it does
not touch the encoder flange.
Push the encoder with installed coupling (3)
onto driveshaft and clamping attachment in
the clamping device (8).
Clamp the encoder fast using screw (4).
Fasten coupling (3) on the driveshaft.
Make the electrical connections with the
voltage switched off. Switch on the voltage
and check the functioning of the encoder.
Zero adjustment is possible by slackening the
clamping and rotating on the flange.
However, it is absolutely necessary to take
care that no axial displacement occurs during
the adjustment, since this leads to stressing
of the coupling.
