Disconnect the 230 V external power supply at the caravan.
The 12 V connection cable of the ECW-012VS inverter only allows it to be
installed near the supply battery.
Keep a clearance around the inverter to ensure ventilation. Also make
sure there is always free access to the insulated socket, the safety socket
andthe interface connection. Lay all cables so that they cannot be
damaged by sharp edges or through-holes.
➤ Fasten the inverter with screws to a firm surface near the supply battery.
10.4.1 Battery connection of the ECW-012VS inverter
Please note that all volatile memories of the connected consumer units
lose their data if the battery is disconnected.
➤ Remove the negative connection cable (earth) from the supply battery.
➤ Remove the positive connection cable from the supply battery.
➤ Use the two red cables (included in the scope of delivery) to connect
the positive terminals of the inverter (see Fig. 11 on page 6, position
1) to the positive battery terminal (not to the battery terminal) of the
positive connection cable.
➤ Use the two black cables (included in the scope of delivery) to connect
the negative terminals of the inverter (see Fig. 11 on page 6, position
1) to the negative battery terminal of the negative connection cable.
Do not connect the connection cable to the battery terminals yet.
The input socket (see Fig. 10 on page 6, position 1) is at the front of the
inverter.
