5. After removing the patient and the tared item from the tray, the Auto Hold feature allows the
scale to continue displaying the weight measurement after the patient is removed. The default
Auto Hold time is 30 seconds. To disable the Auto Hold or change to 60 seconds, see page 8.
6. After the held weight is cleared off the display, "UndEr" will reappear along with the TARE icon.
Press ZERO/TARE to clear the tared value.
Note: If the scale powers off, the tare value will be erased.
Weighing a Patient and Taring a Known Weight (Pre-Tare)
Pre-Tare can be performed for objects between 0.2 oz – 5 lb / 0.005 kg – 2.2 kg / 5 g – 2200 g

appears on the display.
3. The display will show zero and the tare icon will flash. Enter the weight of the object to be tared.
Use the ▲ and ▼ keys to increase or decrease the weight. Holding down the arrow keys will
cause the rate of the change to progress faster.
4. Once the desired tare value is set, lock the value by pressing ENTER. The TARE icon will stop
flashing and remain on, and "UndEr" will appear on the display along with the TARE icon.
5. Gently lay the patient and the object to be tared on the center of the weighing tray. The scale will
automatically deduct the weight of the object and only display the patient's weight.
- To reweigh the patient without removing them from the tray, press CLEAR/REWEIGH.
- After the weight locks, and before removing the patient from the weighing tray, the weight
measurement can be held on the display by pressing HOLD/RLS/RECALL. To release the
held weight, press HOLD/RLS/RECALL again.

Breast Milk Intake Function
This scale offers the ability to calculate the patient's breast milk intake after a feeding. Follow this
procedure to determine the intake amount.
Note: The patient must first be weighed before the feeding.
1. With all weight off the scale, press the

2. Gently lay the patient onto the center of the weighing tray. "LOCK" will appear and flash on the
display along with a weight measurement. When a stable weight is determined "LOCK" will stay
displayed along with the patient's weight. Depending on the movement of the patient on the
scale, it may take several seconds for the scale to lock onto the weight.
Caution: To prevent patient injury, the patient must be attended throughout the entire
weighing event.
3. Once the weight is locked, press BEFORE FEED to store the patient's weight before the feeding,
"StORd" will appear on the display.
Note: When BEFORE FEED is pressed it automatically clears any stored weight in the AFTER
FEED and AMOUNT FED memory.
