This sheet contains important safety instructions that must be followed during the installation and operation of the DC UPS. Follow all warnings on
the unit and in this sheet.

WARNING - Follow all warnings and cautions on the unit and in this sheet. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.
WARNING - EXPLOSION HAZARD - This product is not for use in a hazardous location environment.
• Do not replace the battery by an incorrect battery type. See below for battery types.
• No USER serviceable parts. Do not open the unit. Do not substitute components inside.
GENERAL INSTALLATION SAFETy PRECAUTIONS

WARNING - Risk of Personal Injury - The battery module contains high current and hazardous energy. Electrical safety precautions must be followed
when installing the Battery Module. To prevent personal injury, turn off and lock out all power sources to the unit before connecting the unit.
• This product is for indoor use only in a Pollution Degree II environment, Overvoltage Category II system.
• To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, install the Battery Module in a temperature and humidity controlled ventilated enclosure, free
of conductive contaminants, moisture, flammable liquids, gases, and corrosive substances.
• Do not install or operate the Battery Module in or near water. Do not place the Battery Module under direct sunlight or close to heat-
emitting sources.
• Do not place the Battery Module on an unstable cart, stand, or table. Ensure that it is properly mounted.
• Use M6 x 1.0 screws for mounting. Suggested mounting height is 2 meters or less..
WARNING - Explosion Hazard/Leakage of Flammable Liquid or Gas Hazard – Do not leave the battery in an extreme high temperature surrounding
environment. Do not subject the battery to extremely low air pressure.
Battery Connection: Use only the SOLA cable provided with battery module or SOLA type SDU 24EXTBC6B.
bATTERy REPLACEmENT PRECAUTIONS

WARNING - Risk of Personal Injury - The battery may be replaced by service personnel only. Keep unauthorized personnel away from
the batteries.
• Disconnect the Battery Module from the DC UPS Module before replacing the batteries
• Electrical safety precautions must be followed when replacing the battery. To prevent risk of electrical shock, disconnect all power
sources to the unit before replacing the battery.
• When removing and installing the new batteries, extreme care must be used not to short the metal chassis or other metal parts across
the battery terminals and not to short the batteries to each other.
• The battery has a risk of electrical shock and high short circuit current. The following precautions should be observed when replacing
the batteries: Remove watches, rings, and other metal objects. Use tools with insulated handles. Do not lay tools or other metal objects
on top of the batteries.
• Replace the battery only with the following type: CSB type GP 1272 Series (7.2 Ah)

WARNING - Do not dispose of batteries in a fire; they may explode. Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is harmful to skin and eyes and
may be toxic. Proper disposal of batteries is required. Refer to your local laws and regulations for disposal requirements.
