Rod connector
Select the bottom rod. Note the
bottom rod is the rod with the rod
connector already attached.
Install Bottom Latch
a) Slide latch assembly
into bracket, allowing tab
to slide along bottom of
bracket to avoid
interference with pins.

b) Pull assembly up into
bracket so that tab seats

Install Bottom Strike
Important, keep
centerline of strike

aligned with centerline
of bottom latch.

Install Bottom Strike

Bottom rod
Threaded stem
Bottom latch
Screw the threaded end of the
bottom rod onto the threaded stem
of bottom latch.
Screw the rod on as far as is
required to align the mounting hole
of rod connector to the mounting
hole of the exit device.

Insert screw into top
mounting hole and
secure to door.
Note: for fire rated
applications, sexbolts
must be used on
exterior, to engage with
mounting screws.
Put a small amount of
concrete into the hole to
secure hex anchor,
before inserting strike
into prepared cutout in
threshold.
Mount the rod
connector to the device
with screw to secure. If
rod connector does not
align properly to secure,
refer to previous step to
Rod connector
adjust.
