Operating with a gas source
Only use propane or butane gas bottles with an approved
pressure reduction valve and suitable top part.
Compare the pressure information on the type plate with the
pressure information on the propane or butane gas cylinder.
The connection line and the connection to the gas supply must be
replaced in accordance with national guidelines.
The following specifications must be observed in Germany, Austria
and Switzerland:
The device may only be connected to the following gas
cylinders:
– Gas cylinders with fixed outlet valves
(4 A, page 4)
or
– Gas cylinders with internal ball valves
(4 B, page 4)
Only use a DIN-DVGW-approved pressure regulator in
accordance with DIN 4811 Part 1 for 50 mbar operating
pressure, which matches the gas cylinder.
Only use approved hose lines (Germany: DIN 4815 Part 2) with
a maximum length of 1.5 m.
➤ Position the gas cylinder vertically at a distance of at least 1 metre away
from the burner (on the back of the cooler).
➤ Check if the valve on the gas cylinder is closed.
➤ Fit the pressure regulator on the gas cylinder. Follow the assembly
instructions for the pressure regulator.
➤ Screw the union nut of the hose using an open-ended spanner (17 mm)
onto the pressure regulator ports. Use a second open-ended spanner to
prevent unacceptable power transmissions to the pressure regulator
ports (4 1, page 4).
➤ Screw the union nut on the other end of the hose using an open-ended
spanner (17 mm) onto the cooler ports (3 1, page 4). Use a second
open-ended spanner to prevent unacceptable power transmissions to the
cooler ports (4 2, page 4).
