SAFETY NOTE
Prior to using the safety Voltage Detector be sure to read the following instruction for operation
The voltages indicated on the safety voltage detector are nominal values.
•
Be sure to only use the safety voltage indicator in systems, appliances and devices within the
•
area of the nominal voltage of 12 to 400V AC and 12 to 500V DC.
For testing only grasp the handles of the safety voltage detector and be sure not to touch the
•
testing electrodes. The voltage can be detected only via double-pole.
Before checking whether the apparatus is free from any voltage, make sure that the safety voltage
•
detector is properly functioning (DIN VDE 0105, Part 1). To test the functionality of the safety
voltage detector, you may check this - for example - by connecting it to a well-functioning power
socket. If one or more of the displays are not indicated or cannot be indicated, do no longer use
the voltage detector.
Always keep the safety voltage detector in a clean and dry place.
•
Do allow a disassembly the safety voltage detector by unauthorized persons.
•
For a proper display keep the device within a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C.
•
The safety voltage detector cannot be left switched on for more than 30 seconds. The pause
•
following it should not be longer than 240 sec.
The light-emitting diode (LED) indicated with the symbol + and - indicate the applied polarity on
•
the indicating handle, if the direct current is higher than 12 V. If both LED diodes are lighting up at
the same time, the device uses alternating current. In case of higher voltages, all voltage-
indicating LED diodes are lighting up at the same time.
The light-emitting diodes are indicating the effective voltages between the voltage peaks. Within
•
the respective nominal voltage range, the light-emitting diodes starting lighting up, of the nominal
voltage is higher than 85%.
There will be no display when the neutral conductor (N) or the protective conductor (PE) is
•
interrupted!
Do not use the safety voltage detector during rainy weather.
•
The display of the excessing of the upper limited value for low voltages (ELV) only serves as for a
•
warning for the user, and is not as a measured value.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances in the
household waste; bring them to the collecting
point in your area. Ask for the location of these
collecting point, please consult the authorities of
your region. If electrical appliances are disposed
of in a careless way, toxic substances may be
released into the ground water and thus into the
food chain during weathering, or the flora and
fauna can be poisoned and contaminated for any
years. If you replace the appliance by a new one,
the vendor liable responsible to take back the old
appliance for disposal at no chare.
