3.1 - GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Before making the Machine operational, carefully read the instructions contained in this
Manual and precisely follow instructions contained in it.
The manufacturer has exerted maximum effort in designing this Machine, as far as possible, IT IS
INTRINSICALLY SAFE. It has also been equipped with all protections and safety devices that were
considered necessary and, finally, sufficient information was included for it to be used safely and correctly.
The machine is intended for use by personnel that are properly instructed on all aspects related to safety and
possible risks resulting from machine use.
In particular:
- Personnel in charge of periodic controls, running, maintenance, handling and scrapping must have read this
manual; the employer is responsible for sharing this document with all personnel that will be interacting
with the machine.
- the employer must make sure that the following safety instructions are read and understood, and that they
are applied for machine use and maintenance; this will help avoid damage to persons and/or the machine.
- The generic operator must know general regulations regarding machine safety. The generic operator must
be equipped with the intended personal protective equipment.
- The protective equipment supplied by the manufacturer (housing and blocking systems) must never be
removed while the machine is moving.
- Maintenance operations must always be carried out with the machine off.
- Handling, running, adjustment, maintenance and repairs must be entrusted to qualified personnel; do not
assign the completion of these tasks to persons operating under the influence of alcoholic drinks, drugs,
sedatives or persons that are clearly tired.
- Generic operators have an obligation to immediately communicate any deficiency and/or potentially
dangerous situation that may occur on the machine to their direct managers; this must take place once the
machine is stopped.
- Carefully follow instructions and pay maximum attention while lifting the machine.
- Do not rest or pass under the machine during use, lifting or transport.
- Do not remove any pieces or units from the machine without specific authorisation from the technician of
the manufacturer.
- Carry out preventive verification in order to locate and signal any damage to the machine occurred during
transport or handling operations.
- Every technical modification that affects operation or machine safety must only be carried out by technical
personnel of the manufacturer or technicians that have been formally authorised by BATTIONI PAGANI
S.P.A.
- Exclusively use the machine for the operations it was designed for.
- Do not carry out any operations or interventions that are not within the area of expertise.
- Stop the machine when anomalies take place that affect operational safety.
- During maintenance or repair operations, unauthorised persons must keep away from the machine.
- Deactivating protection or safety devices must only be carried out by personnel authorised for maintenance
operations, they shall be responsible of guaranteeing operator safety and avoiding any type of damage
to the machine, along with restoring the effectiveness of those devices once maintenance is terminated.
