- Use the lowest spray pressure in the air cap, allowing you
to obtain the required finish. Not all products require the
maximum pressure for correct spraying. With lower pressure
there is an additional increase in product transfer.
- Pay special attention to the application speed. The thickness
of the film deposited may be greater than planned if the
application speed is low, and the opposite is also true.
- If the thickness of the layer is very thin, this is due to the
fact that the air pressure is excessive for the amount of
product being applied. Reduce the air pressure in the gun in
order to ensure that the thinner in the paint does not evaporate
during spraying and that it is not dry when it reaches the
surface to be painted. Increase the amount of product, correct
its viscosity or use a larger air cap in the gun.
- If the film is very thick or granulated, this is due to the fact
7. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION OF THE EQUIPMENT
The equipments HT10, HT15 and HT25 can be used to
apply medium viscosity products used widely in the Cons-
truction, Automotive, Timber, Plastics Industry, etc.
The product to be applied (Lacquers, funds, primers,
enamels and varnishes, synthetic paints, release agents,
and all kinds of products of low and medium viscosity) is
kept in the container supplied by the manufacturer.
SAGOLA S.A. has service Kits for the repair and replacement
of consumable components in the unit, indicated in the
Before each start-up and especially after cleaning or repai-
ring the unit, a check must be made that all its elements are
securely tightened.
The first time you use your equipment there is no need to
depressurise it, as it is already supplied in a totally depres-
surised state, though it will be necessary to do this each
time any maintenance or repair work is carried out.
With the aim of reducing the risk of severe bodily injury,
including the injection of products or injuries caused by
moving parts of the equipment or electric shock, the proce-
dure described below must be followed as soon as the
system is halted, during assembly, cleaning or changing
the cap and also when spraying is interrupted.
1) Set the gun safety catch.
2) With the unit, hose and gun pressurised, turn the unit's
pressure regulator control (Fig.1 nº4) to place it on the
minimum position (left turn, anticlockwise).
6. USEFUL TIPS
that the amount of product to be applied is excessive for the
pressure used. Decrease the amount of product, reduce its
viscosity or use a smaller air cap in the gun.
- If sagging occurs, this is due to the fact that the amount of
product to be applied is excessive for the pressure used,
the viscosity is not correct or the application speed is not
adequate.
Decrease the amount of product, adjust its viscosity or
increase the application speed until the required finish is
obtained.
The spray fan (spray pattern) obtained will depend on the air
cap used and on your adjustment. If you require caps for other
applications, contact the Technical Service of SAGOLA S.A.
From the manufacturer's container, with the unit in opera-
tion, by means of suction and through the probe it flows to
the interior of the unit.
From the unit, through the product hose and the gun, the
product is sprayed.

9. START-UP
Should this safety measure not be observed, this may lead
to malfunctions, personal injury and accidents, which may
prove to be fatal. SAGOLA S.A. does not accept any
responsibility for the consequences of any non-compliance
with these safety regulations.
10. DEPRESSURISATION
3) Remove the spray gun safety catch. Holding a metallic
part of the spray gun to the side of a correctly-grounded
bucket, press the trigger to reducing pressure (aim the jet
toward the side of the bucket) until no product for the gun
and the pressure gauge (Fig.1 nº7) indicate "0".
4) Lock the spray gun trigger with the safety latch.
5) Open the product return key (Fig.1 nº3).
