5.1.1 BELT REPLACEMENT AND TENSION ADJUSTMENT

The belts are correctly tightened when they give max 6-8 mm (Fig. 8).
Proceed in the following way to replace the belts and adjust their tension:
Remove the screws (4) and take off the protective casing (1)

▪ Loosen the screws (2) on the gearbox support
▪ Work on the nuts (3) until the belts have been tightened to the correct degree
▪ Tighten the nuts (3)
▪ Tighten the screws (2)
▪ Fit the casing back in position (1) and fasten it with the screws (4)
If the belts are changed, they must all be replaced with others of the same size. This will ensure
that the transmission always operates in a fully efficient way.

5.2.1 RECOMMENDED LUBRICANTS

It is advisable to lubricate the overdrive with: 0,396 U.S. gal of SAE 85W/140 OIL, complying with API-GL5/MIL-L-2105C
specifications.
For all greasing points, the Manufacturer recommends: LITHIUM GREASE.
When servicing the driveline, strictly comply with the instructions given by the driveline Manufacturer, in the specific operation
and maintenance manual with which each driveline is equipped.

5.2.2 AFTER THE FIRST 8 HOURS SERVICE

Each new machine must be checked after the first 8 hours service. Proceed in the following way:
▪ Check the general condition of the machine
▪ Make sure that all the screws are well tightened
Check the cutting tools for wear and make sure that the bolts that fasten them are well tightened
▪
▪ Check the tension of the belts
▪ Check the level of the lubricants

5.2.3 EVERY 20 HOURS SERVICE

▪ Make sure that the screws that fix the cutting tools are well tightened
▪ Grease the driveline

5.2.4 EVERY 100 HOURS SERVICE

Check the level of the oil in the overdrive housing. If necessary, top it up through the plug on the top of the gearbox.

5.2.5 EVERY 500 HOURS SERVICE

Change the oil in the overdrive housing after every 500 hours service or at least once a year.

5.2 LUBRICATION

Lubrication of any machine with parts that turn and/or rub to-
gether is a vitally important task for the life and functionality of
the actual machine itself. Lubrication must therefore be carried
out systematically and at the required intervals. The frequen-
cies given refer to machine use in a normal environment. If this
machine is used in heavier duty conditions, it must naturally be
lubricated more frequently.
