Translation of the Original Instructions
CLEANING
Thoroughly clean the all purpose flail after each use.
CUTTING POSITIONS
To adjust the cutting height use the lever (fig. 2, n. 10). Turn the lever clockwise to increase the
cutting height, while turn it anti-clockwise to decrease the cutting height. Cutting height can vary
from 30 to 110 mm. In case of uneven grounds set the all purpose flail at the max. cutting height to
avoid damages to the Y-shaped blades. Once the cutting height has been chosen lock the lever
through the appropriate pin (fig. 15).
SLOPES
On steep grounds use the machine upwards/downwards, paying close attention when changing
direction not to hit against obstacles such as stones, branches and roots possibly causing roll-over
of the machine. Always assess each situation with care and pay greater attention on wet grounds
because the machine could slip. Drive slowly downwards and take care not to go over dry or cut
grass to avoid that the wheels loose adherence.
USEFUL TIPS FOR A PROPER USE OF THIS EQUIPEMENT
1) Do not strain the engine. When fume comes out from the exhaust pipe, slow down.
2) Protect the machine from bad weather conditions.
3) Frequently check the blades, turn them the other way round if they're worn and replace them if
necessary. The cutting performance will be better and the engine will not be strained.
4) Check the ground before starting work and remove stones and any other foreign objects.
5) Keep the engine at max. r.p.m. while working and adjust the speed according to the height of
the grass.
6) Keep the engine cooling grids clean (fig. 5, A) as well as the hydraulic engine cooling fins
(fig. 13, B).
7) Frequently check the tyre pressure
IN CASE OF LONG IDLE PERIODS
Should the machine not be used for a long time:
- fully empty the fuel tank.
- thoroughly clean both the engine and the hydrostatic all purpose flail.
