Inserting/changing batteries
In order to use the scales, you will need 4 batteries of type LR03 (AAA), 1.5 V (included).
The battery compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Slide off the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow.
2. Insert the batteries as shown on the base of the battery compartment. Pay attention
to the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the battery compartment lid and slide it towards the edge of the scale all
the way to the stop.
Notes on changing the battery:
‚ A change of batteries becomes necessary when "LO" appears on the
display, or when nothing at all is displayed.
‚ Only use the type of battery that is specified in the "Technical Data".
‚ Always change all batteries at the same time.
‚ Dispose of batteries in an environmentally appropriate way (see
"Disposal")
‚ Calibrate the scale, see „Setting the scale".
Choosing the unit of measurement
When the scales are delivered, the unit of measurement is set to "kg" as standard.
However, the measurement can also be displayed in the English unit of measure „lb"
(pounds).
− Press the control panel on the back to set the desired unit of measure. Pay
attention to the display indicator.
Positioning the scales
1. Place the scales on an even, firm, and dry surface. Do not place the scales on carpet.
2. First, briefly step onto the middle of the weighing surface to calibrate the scale.
As soon as the display shows „0.0", calibration is complete.
This calibration must be performed after each battery change.
