Determine the degree of door opening required and find
dimension "A" on the chart below.
L Opening angle of 180° is required to meet ADA.

Measure from center line of hinge/pivot and stick
template on door. Mark drilling holes.

Remove template, and drill holes where marked with a
1/8" drill bit for SRT screws.
L SRT screws are used on metal doors.
Wood screws are used on wood doors.

Measure and determine your door's width. Using a hex
wrench, adjust the closer spring power. Use the table
below to determine number of turns required.
Turn counterclockwise for "-"; turn clockwise for "+"
L These turns are recommended, but may change due to
door weight and environmental conditions.

Install closer onto frame and shoe onto door using
screws provided.
L Speed regulation valve goes toward the hinge.

Install main arm to closer.
a. Place main arm onto the bottom closer shaft.
b. Install and tighten main arm screw.

adjustment.

Route the rod into the forearm.

Preload the forearm to 90°. While the arm is still
preloaded, install and tighten the arm screw.

Adjust the closer, if necessary. See page 4 for closer
adjustment instructions.

Screw cap onto shaft and install cover (optional).
