7.3 Adjusting the start address

To be able to operate the spotlight with a light controller,
adjust the DMX start address for the first DMX channel.
If e. g. address 17 on the DMX controller is provided for
controlling the red LEDs, adjust the start address 17 on
the PARL-1DMX. The other functions of the spotlight
are then automatically assigned to the following
addresses (in this example 18 to 20). The address 21
could be used in this example as the next possible start
address for the following DMX-controlled unit.
1) Press button MENU (5) once until the display (3)
shows
. Make sure that the next button is
pressed within 15 seconds, otherwise the adjusting
process will end.
2) Press button ENTER. The adjusted address is
shown. For automatic adjustment of the address,
continue with step 4.
3) For manual adjustment, use button DOWN or UP
to adjust the address and memorize it with button

spotlights to 5, 9, 13, etc.
Once the control signals of the DMX controller are
received, the red LED DMX (4) lights up and the dis-
play shows the start address. The PARL-1DMX can
now be operated with the DMX controller.

7.4 Control with the LED-4C

The unit LED-4C from "img Stage Line" is an easy-to-
operate control panel which can also be used for the
spotlight PARL-1DMX. It has 4 channels so that all
PARL-1DMX units connected to it can only be con-
trolled in sync.
1) Connect the jack DMX OUTPUT of the LED-4C to
the jack DMX INPUT (10) and switch on the LED-4C.
2) Adjust the start address of the spotlights to 1 or a
multiple of 4 + 1 (5, 9, 13, ... max. 61),

8 Further Functions

8.1 Display of the operating hours

To show the state of the operating hour counter:
1) Press button MENU (5) so many times until
(fixture hours) is shown on the display (3).
2) Press button ENTER and the operating hours are
shown.
3) After 15 seconds the unit is switched back to the
previous operating mode.

8.2 Display of the firmware version

To show the version number of the firmware (operating
system of the unit):
1) Press button MENU (5) so many times until
(version) is shown on the display (3).
2) Press button ENTER. The version number is
shown, e. g.
= version 1.0.
3) After 15 seconds the unit is switched back to the
previous operating mode.

9 Cleaning the Unit

The plastic pane in front of the LEDs should be cleaned
at regular intervals from the outside, depending on
impurities caused by dust, smoke or other particles.
Only this will ensure that the light is radiated at maxi-
mum brightness. For cleaning, disconnect the mains
plug from the socket. Only use a soft, clean cloth and
a mild detergent. Then wipe the plastic pane dry.
For cleaning the other parts of the housing, only use
a soft, clean cloth. Never use any fluid; it may leak into
the unit and cause damage.
