6.2 Fernbedienung LC-3
Über die als Zubehör erhältliche Fernbedienung
LC-3 (Abb. 3) können verschiedene Funktionen ge -
steuert werden.
1) Die Fernbedienung an die Buchse ONLY FOR
REMOTE CONTROL (7) anschließen.
2) Am Eingang DMX INPUT (4) darf kein DMX-Sig-
nal anliegen. Die gelbe LED MASTER (13) muss
leuchten.
3) Über den DMX-Ausgang (6) können weitere
LED-800DMX angeschlossen werden (
tel 6.1), um diese über die Fernbedienung
gemeinsam mit dem Hauptgerät zu steuern.
4) Mit der Taste STAND BY (19) lassen sich die
LEDs ein- und ausschalten. Bei ausgeschalteten
LEDs leuchtet zur Kontrolle die LED neben der
Taste STAND BY.
5) Mit der Taste MODE (21) die Betriebsart wählen:
a) Leuchtet die LED der Taste MODE nicht, ist
das Showprogramm
Gedrückthalten der Taste FUNCTION (20)
lässt sich eine der drei Stroboskop-Funktionen
aktivieren:
1. Dauer-Stroboskop
2. Musikabhängiges Stroboskop
3. Stroboskop, das durch einen Musikimpuls
eingeschaltet und durch den nächsten
Musikimpuls wieder ausgeschaltet wird usw.
Beim erneuten Gedrückthalten der Taste
FUNC TION ist jeweils die nächste Strobo-
skop-Funktion aktiviert.
b) Leuchtet die LED der Taste MODE, ist das
Showprogramm
aktiviert. Durch Ge -
drückthalten der Taste FUNCTION lässt sich
eine der drei Stroboskop-Funktionen aktivie-
ren (siehe Punkt a).
c) Blinkt die LED der Taste MODE, kann eines
der Showprogram me
Taste FUNCTION ausgewählt werden.
3) Set the slave units to the operating mode SLAVE 1
or SLAVE 2 (
chapter 5.1). Once the control
signals from the master unit are applied to the
slave units, the red LED SLAVE (17) will light up
on the slave units.
6.2 Remote control LC-3
The remote control LC-3 (fig. 3) available as an
accessory allows to control various functions.
1) Connect the remote control to the jack ONLY
FOR REMOTE CONTROL (7).
2) There must be no DMX signal at the DMX INPUT
(4). The yellow LED MASTER (13) must be on.
3) Via the DMX OUTPUT (6), further LED-800DMX
units may be connected (
chapter 6.1) in order
to control them together with the master unit via
the remote control.
4) The button STAND BY (19) allows to switch the
LEDs on or off. When the LEDs are switched off,
the LED next to the button STAND BY will light up
as a check.
5) Select the operating mode with the button MODE
(21):
a) When the LED of the button MODE is off, the
show programme
will be activated. By
keeping the button FUNCTION (20) pressed,
one of the three stroboscope functions can be
activated:
1. permanent stroboscope
2. music-dependent stroboscope
3. stroboscope activated by a music pulse and
deactivated by the next music pulse etc.
When the button FUNCTION is kept pressed
again, the next stroboscope function respec-
tively will be activated.
b) When the LED of the button MODE is on, the
show programme
will be activated. By
keeping the button FUNCTION (20) pressed,

Zur Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät mit DMX -
512-Protokoll (z. B. DMX-1440 oder DMX-510USB
von „img Stage Line") verfügt das Gerät über 7 Steu-
erkanäle. Es kann aber auch in den 4-Kanal-Modus
umgeschaltet werden, wenn die vier Rosetten
gemeinsam gesteuert werden sollen. Die Funktio-
nen der Kanäle und die DMX-Werte finden Sie im
Kapitel 10.1.
7.1 Anschluss

Als DMX-Schnittstelle besitzt das Gerät 3-polige
XLR-Buchsen (4 und 6) mit folgender Kontaktbele-
gung: Pin 1 = Masse, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+.
Zum Anschluss sollten spezielle Kabel für hohen
Datenfluss verwendet werden. Normale abge-
schirmte Mikrofonkabel mit einem Leitungsquer-
schnitt von mindestens 2 × 0,22 mm
geringer Kapazität sind nur bei einer Gesamtkabel-
länge bis 100 m zu empfehlen. Bei Leitungslängen
aktiviert. Durch
ab 150 m wird grundsätzlich das Zwischen schalten
eines DMX-Aufholverstärkers empfohlen (z. B. SR-
103DMX von „img Stage Line").
1) Den DMX-Eingang (4) mit dem DMX-Ausgang
des Lichtsteuergerätes verbinden.
2) Den DMX-Ausgang (6) mit dem DMX-Eingang
des nächsten Lichteffektgerätes verbinden. Des-
sen Ausgang wieder mit dem Eingang des nach-
folgenden Gerätes verbinden usw., bis alle Licht-
effektgeräte in einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
3) Den DMX-Ausgang des letzten DMX-Gerätes der
Kette mit einem 120-Ω-Widerstand (> 0,3 W) ab -
schlie ßen: An die Pins 2 und 3 eines XLR-Ste-
ckers den Widerstand anlöten und den Ste cker in
den DMX-Ausgang stecken oder einen entspre-
chenden Abschlussstecker (z. B. DLT-123 von
„img Stage Line") verwenden.

7 Operation via a Light Controller
For operation via a light controller with DMX512 pro-
tocol (e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB by "img
Stage Line"), the unit is equipped with 7 control
channels. However, it is also possible to switch over
to the 4-channel mode for controlling the four
rosettes together. The functions of the channels and
the DMX values can be found in chapter 10.1.
7.1 Connection
As a DMX interface, the unit is provided with 3-pole
XLR jacks (4 and 6) of the following pin configura-
tion: Pin 1 = ground, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+
For connection, special cables for high data flow
should be used. Standard microphone cables with
screening and a minimum cross section of 2 ×
0.22 mm

and with a capacity as low as possible can
only be recommended for a total cable length of up
to 100 m. For cable lengths exceeding 150 m it is
recommended to insert a DMX level matching ampli-
fier (e. g. SR-103DMX by "img Stage Line").
1) Connect the DMX INPUT (4) to the DMX output of
the light controller.
2) Connect the DMX OUTPUT (6) to the DMX input
of the following light effect unit; connect its output
again to the input of the following unit, etc. until all
light effect units have been connected in a chain.
3) Terminate the DMX output of the last DMX unit in
the chain with a 120 Ω resistor (> 0.3 W): Solder
the resistor to the pins 2 and 3 of an XLR plug and
connect the plug to the DMX output or use a cor-
responding terminating plug (e. g. DLT-123 by
"img Stage Line").
7.2 Startadresse und
Anzahl der DMX-Kanäle einstellen
Um das Lichteffektgerät mit einem Lichtsteuergerät
bedienen zu können, muss die DMX-Startadres se
für den ersten DMX-Kanal eingestellt werden. Ist
z. B. am Steuergerät die Adresse 17 zur Auswahl
der Betriebsart vorge sehen, am Lichteffektgerät die
Start adresse 17 einstellen.
Die anderen Funktionen des Geräts sind dann
automatisch den folgenden Adressen (in diesem
Beispiel 18 – 23) zugeordnet. Als nächstmögliche
Startadresse für das folgende DMX-gesteuerte
Gerät könnte dann bei diesem Beispiel die Adresse
24 verwendet werden. (Im 4-Kanal-Modus werden
nur 4 DMX-Kanäle belegt. In diesem Fall ergibt sich
als nächstmögliche Startadresse für das folgende
DMX-gesteuerte Gerät die Adresse 21.)

a) Die Taste MENU (14) einmal drücken, sodass
im Display (11)

2) Die Anzahl der DMX-Kanäle einstellen, die zum
Steuern des Gerätes benutzt werden sollen.
a) Die Taste MENU so oft drücken, bis im Dis-
play
b) Die Taste ENTER drücken. Die Anzahl der
DMX-Kanäle wird angezeigt.
c) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP die Anzahl der
DMX-Kanäle einstellen (
mit der Taste ENTER speichern.
3) Zum Ausblenden des Menüs die Taste MENU
gedrückt halten, bis das Display auf die Start-
adresse oder auf die gewählte Showprogramm-
nummer zurückschaltet oder ca. 10 s warten.
7.2 Adjusting the start address and
the number of DMX channels
For operating the light effect unit with a light con-
to
troller, adjust the DMX start address for the first DMX
channel. If e. g. address 17 on the controller is pro-
vided for selecting the operating mode, adjust the
start address 17 on the light effect unit.
The other functions of the unit will then automati-
cally be assigned to the following addresses (in this
example 18 – 23). As the next possible start address
for the following DMX-controlled unit, address 24
could be used in this example. (In the 4-channel
mode, only 4 DMX channels will be used. In this
case, address 21 will result as the next possible start
address for the following DMX-controlled unit.)
1) Adjust the DMX start address:
a) Press the button MENU (14) once so that
will appear on the display (11). Make
sure that the next button is pressed within
10 seconds, otherwise the adjusting process
will end automatically.
b) Press the button ENTER (16). The address
adjusted will be displayed.
c) Use the button DOWN or UP (15) to adjust the
address and memorize with the button
ENTER.
2) Adjust the number of DMX channels to be used
for controlling the unit:
a) Press the button MENU so many times until
(Channel Mode) is displayed.
b) Press the button ENTER. The number of DMX
channels will be displayed.
c) Use the button DOWN or UP to adjust the
number of DMX channels (
memorize with the button ENTER.
3) To deactivate the menu, keep the button MENU
pressed until the start address or the show pro-
gramme number selected is displayed again or
wait for approx. 10 s.
