Move the power switch to position "I".

Prime the engine by pressing the carburetor priming pump ten times. You should see fuel inside the priming
pump.
4.
Choke the motor by moving the choke lever to the'closed' position.
CONTROL POSITIONS (HOT MOTOR)
1.
Move the power switch to position "I".
2.
Move the throttle lever to the "open" position
ENGINE START
1.
Place the tool firmly on the ground, making sure it is stable. Hold the handle with your left hand and grab
the starter cord with your right hand.
ATTENTION: The recoil starter may be damaged if abused.
Always grease the starter before attempting to start the engine.
Never pull the starter to its limit.
Always rewind the starter rope slowly.

Pull the starter rope slowly, about two-thirds of the rope, until you feel the motor engage.
3.
Pull the starter cord up quickly to start the engine.
WHEN THE ENGINE STARTS
Open the choke by moving the lever.
Allow the engine to idle for 1 minute until the machine runs smoothly.
If the engine does not continue to run, repeat the starting procedures (for cold or hot engine).
When the engine starts, clean excess fuel from the combustion tank by accelerating the engine several times with
the throttle trigger.
IF THE ENGINE DOES NOT START
Repeat the appropriate starting procedures for "hot" or "cold" engine. If the engine still does not start after several
attempts, it is probably drowned. Follow the procedure below:
STARTING A DROWNED ENGINE
1.
Disconnect the spark plug wire and use the spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug (counterclockwise).
If the spark plug is dirty or impregnated with fuel, clean it or replace it.
2.
Open the throttle and firmly squeeze the throttle trigger with your left hand. Quickly pull the starter rope
with your right hand to clean excess fuel from the combustion chamber.
ATTENTION: Incorrect installation of the spark plug can seriously damage the engine.
3.
Replace the spark plug and tighten firmly. If you have a torque wrench, turn the spark plug to 16.7-18.6
Nm.
4.
Repeat the startup procedure for hot "engine".
5.
If the engine still does not start, refer to the troubleshooting diagram at the end of this manual.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
1.
Cool the engine by letting it run at idle for 2 to 3 minutes.
2.
Follow the start button to the OF or "O" position.
