After the engine is started, slowly return the choke to its starting position.

Slowly return the throttle grip to the fully closed position.

WARNING:
When the engine is cold, it must be heated.
If the engine does not start on the first attempt, repeat the procedure.
If the engine does not start after 4 or 5 attempts, open the throttle a small amount (between
1/8 and 1/4), and try again.
Never turn the drive switch to the START position when the engine is already running.
HEATING THE ENGINE
After starting the engine, let it idle for 3 minutes to warm up. Failure to do so will decrease

engine life. Gradually turn the choke knob to the starting position when the engine warms up.
Check for the presence of a constant flow of water from the cooling hole.

WARNING
If water is not flowing out of the check hole while the engine is running, turn off the engine and
check that the cooling water inlet at the bottom of the case or pilot water cooling hole is blocked.
If the problem cannot
be found and corrected, consult your authorized dealer.
