The fact that the towing bracket has been mounted to the vehicle must be entered in the
vehicle papers at the next possible opportunity. The mounting instructions must be added to
the vehicle papers.
General Installation Intructions:
If present, remove insulating compound and/or underseal in the area of the towing bracket
contact surfaces. Coat bare bodywork with anti-corrosion paint.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after aprox. 1000 towing km. Please note,
that after mounting the drawbar the mass of your vehicle will change.
Mounting instructions:
Let down the exhaust manifold and remove its heat-shield.

Place the special nuts into the chassis beam according to the drawing, then fix both side-
–
plates loosely, matching them to the inner side of the chassis beam.
Fix the body of the drawhook loosely onto the rear panel of the car at points „a", then fix
–
them to the side-plates at points „b", too, using the enclosed fixing elements according to
the guidance of the drawing.
Mount coupler ball onto the draw bar.

Set the drawhook to the right position and finalise the tightening of all the bolts.
–
Reinstall the heat-shield and the exhaust manifold.
–
By means of opening the rear cable bundle, complete the electrical connections
–
according to the regulations.
Only specialised services are authorised to install drawhooks.
