3. Initial use
Note: When using the appliance for the first time, there may be a burning smell
and smoke generation when the heating elements heat up. This is not a hazard or
a defect. When using the appliance for the first time, wait until it has heated up
and the smell has disappeared. It is advisable to use the appliance without dough.
Take the appliance out of the package and remove all the packaging material.
Wipe the heating plates of the sandwich maker using a slightly damp cloth.
Caution! Before cleaning or changing the heating plates, make sure that the appli-
ance is not connected to the mains and has cooled down completely!
