1. INTRODUCTION
Your CHAINSAW has been made
in compliance with current consumer protection
and safety regulations.
This manual contains and illustrates the safety in-
structions for the assembly, use and maintenance
operations required to keep your CHAINSAW
working at full efficiency.
FOR EASY READING
The illustrations related to assembly and descrip-
tion of the machine are to be found at the beginning
of this booklet.
Consult those pages while reading the instructions
for assembly and use.
In the event your CHAINSAW requires servicing
or repair, please consult our sales agent or an au-
thorised servicing centre.
2. FUNDAMENTAL SAFETY PRE-
CAUTIONS
A. GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
WARNING:
A1 – Failure to comply with the rules
and warnings in use of the chainsaw
may cause serious harm to people, with
the risk of loss of life.
A2 – Any person who uses or sets in
motion the CHAINSAW must first read
the instruction and maintenance manual
carefully and completely familiarise him/
herself with the controls for proper use
of the equipment.

A2.1 - Keep this manual carefully
for future consultation.
A3 – Do not allow children, or any per-
son not fully familiar with these instruc-
tions, to use the CHAINSAW.
The power saw can only be used by
adults, with the exception of
youngsters over 16 years of age,
specifically trained to use it and
supervised by experienced adults.
A3.1 – All first time users must be
trained by the retailer or by a person
who knows how to safely use the
power saw.
A3.2 – When using the power saw,
all local safety regulations must be
complied with. All instructions
provided by health and safety
authorities and their agencies must
be followed.
DANGER:
A4 – Do not start and do not use the
equipment close to people (espe-
cially children) or animals.
During operation, it is recommended
that a minimum distance of 10 me-
tres from other people be main-
tained.
A5 – Maximum attention is urged to-
wards any possible dangers, warn-
ing signs of which may not be heard
because of the noise of the equip-
ment.
A6 – Eliminate any hazards from the
work zone and check that there are
no hazards such as trees in danger-
ous positions, roads, railways or elec-
tric cables.
A7 – The operator is responsible in
the event of accidents or risks to other
persons or their property.
