Inspection, points to verify
Before each use, verify the condition of the shell (no
cracks or deformities...), the attachment of the headband
to the shell, and the operation of the chin strap and
headband adjustments.
WARNING a major impact can cause invisible internal
damage to your helmet and signifi cantly reduce its
protective properties. Immediately retire your helmet after
a major impact.

Instructions for use
You should know
Activities at height carry a serious risk of head injuries
from falling objects and impacts with stationary objects.
Wearing a helmet can signifi cantly reduce these risks, but
cannot entirely eliminate them. In extreme impacts beyond
the scope of the test standards, the helmet plays its role
by absorbing the maximum amount of energy possible,
deforming sometimes to the breaking-point.
Limitations on use
Helmet for work at height and rescue.
The chinstrap has a strength of 50 daN (Requirement of
the EN 12 492 standard) to help keep the helmet on the
head in case of a fall (impact, snagging).
WARNING: this helmet has no electrical insulation rating
due to the ventilation holes.
Preparation (diagram 1)
1A. Headband height: two adjustment positions.
1B. Chinstrap height: two adjustment positions.
1C. Adjust the chinstrap forward or backward by
positioning the buckles as desired.
1D. Use the standard slots (6) to attach hearing and vision
protection.
1E. Use the clips (7) to attach a headlamp.
Use only the smooth areas (8) for stickers and other
markings.
WARNING: Stickers, markers, paints, etc. may contain
ingredients that can damage the helmet and reduce its
protective properties.
Adjustments (diagram 2)
Turn the headband adjustment wheel (3) to adjust the
helmet. Fasten the chinstrap and adjust the fi t using the
buckle / adjuster (5).
Precautions
Do not expose helmet to extreme heat (e.g. left in a
vehicle parked in the sun).
Certain chemical products - especially solvents - will
damage the helmet and reduce its protective properties.
Keep the helmet away from contact with chemicals.
Modifi cations
The VERTEX helmets can be equipped with a permanently-
mounted headlamp (e.g. PETZL E63 FIXO DUO).
The mounting instructions for this accessory must be
followed precisely. Any other modifi cation is prohibitited
due to the risk of reducing the helmet's protective
properties.

Contrôle, points à vérifi er
Vérifi ez avant toute utilisation l'état de la calotte (absence
de fi ssures, déformations...), le système de fi xation du
tour de tête, le fonctionnement du réglage tour de tête et
la jugulaire.
ATTENTION après un choc important, des ruptures
internes non apparentes peuvent diminuer la capacité
d'absorption et la résistance du casque. Jetez votre
casque au rebut après un choc important.

Prescriptions d'utilisation
Vous devez savoir
La pratique des activités en hauteur comporte des risques
graves pour la tête en cas de chute d'objets, mais aussi en
cas de choc contre un obstacle.
Le port du casque réduit fortement ces risques, mais il
ne peut pas les exclure. Pour des chocs très violents,
au-delà des valeurs des normes, le casque joue un rôle en
absorbant le maximum d'énergie en se déformant, parfois
jusqu'à la rupture.
Champ d'application
Casque pour les travaux en hauteur et les secours.
La jugulaire a une résistance de 50 daN (Exigence norme
EN 12 492) pour permettre au casque de rester sur la tête
en cas de chute (choc, accrochage).
Attention, la ventilation fait perdre la conformité isolement
électrique.
Préparation (schéma 1)
1A. Hauteur du tour de tête : deux positions de réglage.
1B. Hauteur des sangles de jugulaire, boîtier à l'arrière du
casque : deux positions de réglage.
1C. Réglez la jugulaire d'avant en arrière en déplaçant les
boucles.
1D. Fixation des protections antibruit et visières, utilisez
les fentes standards (6).
1E. Fixation de la lampe frontale, utilisez les crochets (7).
Utilisez uniquement les zones lisses (8) pour vos
autocollants et marquages personnalisés. Vérifi ez la
compatibilité des autocollants, marqueurs ou peintures
qui ont parfois des composants pouvant altérer les
qualités physiques du polycarbonate.
Réglages (schéma 2)
Actionnez la molette de réglage du tour de tête pour
ajuster le casque. Fermez la jugulaire et serrez à l'aide de
la boucle de serrage rapide.
Précautions
N'exposez pas votre casque à des températures élevées
par exemple en plein soleil dans une voiture.
Certains produits chimiques en particulier les solvants
altèrent les qualités physiques du polycarbonate. Protégez
la calotte de votre casque de ce type de projections.
Modifi cations
Les VERTEX peuvent être équipés d'un éclairage fi xe Petzl
par exemple FIXO DUO E63.
Suivez strictement les instructions de montage de cet
accessoire.
Toute autre modifi cation est à proscrire (risque de
diminution de l'effi cacité du produit).

Zu kontrollierende Punkte
Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Verwendung den Zustand
der Helmschale (keine Risse, Verformungen), die
Befestigung des Kopfbands an der Helmschale und die
Funktionstüchtigkeit des Kinnbands, des Kopfbands und
der Verstellmechanismen.
WARNUNG: Ein schwerer Schlag kann Ihren Helm
so beschädigen, dass es mit dem bloßen Auge nicht
sichtbar ist, und dessen Schutzeigenschaften beträchtlich
einschränken. Sondern Sie Ihren Helm nach einem
solchen Zwischenfall aus.

Gebrauchsanleitung
Beachten Sie Folgendes:
Jegliche Aktivitäten über dem Boden beinhalten das Risiko
von Kopfverletzungen durch herunterfallende Objekte
oder durch Aufprallen auf ein Hindernis. Das Tragen eines
Helmes kann diese Risiken zwar deutlich reduzieren,
jedoch nicht ausschließen. Im Falle von extremen
Schlägen, die die Norm überschreiten, muss der Helm ein
Maximum an Energie absorbieren. Dies geschieht durch
Verformung, was bis zum Bruch des Helms führen kann.
Verwendungseinschränkungen
Helm für Höhenarbeit und Rettung.
Das Kinnband besitzt eine Festigkeit von 50 daN
(Anforderung gemäß der Norm EN 12492, um den
Helm im Falle eines Sturzes am Kopf zu halten (Schlag,
Aufprall).
WARNUNG: Aufgrund der Belüftungsöffnungen ist der
Helm nicht zur elektrischen Isolation zugelassen.
Vorbereitung (Abbildung 1)
1A. Höhe des Kopfbands: Zwei Einstellungsmöglichkeiten.
1B. Höhe des Kinnbands: Zwei Einstellungsmöglichkeiten.
1C. Stellen Sie das Kinnband nach vorne oder hinten ein,
indem Sie die Schnallen entsprechend positionieren.
1D. Verwenden Sie die Standardöffnungen (6) zum
Anbringen von Gehör- und Augenschutz.
1E. Verwenden Sie die Clips (7) zum Befestigen einer
Stirnlampe.
Verwenden Sie nur die glatten Flächen (8) für Aufkleber
und andere Markierungen.
WARNUNG: Aufkleber, Marker, Farben usw. enthalten
möglicherweise Inhaltsstoffe, die den Helm beschädigen
und seine Schutzeigenschaften verringern können.
Einstellungen (Abbildung 2)
Drehen Sie das Rädchen zum Einstellen des Kopfbands
(3), um den Helm anzupassen. Befestigen Sie das
Kinnband und stellen Sie die Passform mithilfe der
Schnalle (5) ein.
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
Setzen Sie den Helm nicht extremer Hitze aus (z. B. in
einem in der Sonne geparkten Auto).
Bestimmte Chemikalien, vor allem Lösungsmittel, können
den Helm beschädigen und seine Schutzeigenschaften
vermindern. Halten Sie den Helm von chemischen
Produkten fern.
Änderungen
Der VERTEX kann mit einer dauerhaft befestigten
Stirnlampe ausgestattet werden (z. B. PETZL E63 FIXO
DUO).
Die Installationsanleitungen dieses Zubehörs müssen
genau befolgt werden. Jegliche anderen Modifi kationen
sind untersagt, da die Schutzeigenschaften des Helms
hierdurch beeinträchtigt werden können.
